CASCSC190 MM212 and CCC39 Golden Christmas

Happy Friday, peeps!  I was happy to see Merry Monday was back from its summer vacation, so I jumped right in with their Black, Gold and White challenge, and the CAS Colours & Sketches sketch was an interesting one as well:

Actually, I cheated a little and used Very Vanilla, because my musical DSP was vanilla-based!  So here we go:

I used a Simon Says Stamp die called Holiday Frames, cut from Gold Foil and backed it with some Basic Black cardstock to make it stand out.  I mounted it on some retired SU music paper and used a plate to trace a big scallop along the bottom edge, turning the sketch on its side.

I added a few diecuts from Swirly Scribbles, and it was done....and hey, no stamping at all!  This also qualifies for the musical Christmas Card Challenge #39:

Thanks for popping in!

Cassidy gave me some buttons for my birthday...at least she said they were for me, but I knew she wanted to use them herself!  A little boy in her room is having a birthday today, and she wanted to make him a card with the buttons! What could I say, of course I let her use them:

She stamped the sentiment and his name, then we punched holes in the card so that the shanks of the buttons could go through, and she anchored them with glue dots.  Let me tell you, this child knows what to do with glue dots!  Then, she added some stickers to the envelope, courtesy of Doris!

Enjoy your day!

Love the gold die and it's perfect with the music DSP. Using a plate was a great idea for trimming your round edge. That Cassidy is a crafter for sure!
