GDP296 Tote Inspired

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a fun, quick card today using the Hand-Penned Petals set, stamped very simply, but using some bold colors!  My inspiration was a tote bag my sister gave me; it looks black and white here, but it's actually navy and white with a pop of pink!

And I used the CASE the Designer inspiration from Global Design Project:

And here we go:

I diecut some stitched strips from Night of Navy and Basic White cardstock and lined them up on the edge of my card.  I diecut another narrower strip of Polished Pink and adhered that vertically:

I stamped the floral image in Night of Navy as well and added the thanks in Polished Pink.

To finish it off, I added a diecut bow from Pierced Blooms!  I really like the simplicity of this!  Thanks for popping in today!

Cassidy downloaded a "teach yourself to play the piano" app yesterday:

It's only free up to a certain point....she learned from middle C to G, and how to do the fingering on her right hand.  She did pretty well, too!  She was playing the beginning part of Ode to Joy by the time she was done!  You have to pay to go any further, so I doubt Mommy will go for that, LOL! Considering we both took lessons for about the same amount of time, we should jump in and try to teach her...but you know how that goes!  But we were pretty proud of what she learned!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."  Psalm 25:4-5

Love your card and the inspiration for it...very creative. Yes, teach her! I can still remember learning chopsticks over 60 years ago!! Nine years of lessons and I no longer play. I sold my baby grand, my spinet, my Hammond organ and my keyboard due to lack of space. I miss them all.

Love the tote and how it inspired your card - love that colour combo! Cassidy did really well with her piano and Michele is right - YouTube has a ton of great free teaching material, see if you can find something suitable there.

I love the sketchiness of this card! Great colors! My piano sits silent most days……until Will comes and pounds on it!

Wow! These are not colors that I would have thought to use together - but your card is gorgeous!! I like the pink bow!
