FMS438 Put on Your Sunglasses

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I finally got some new goodies...no ink pads yet....but I made do with what I had and used some pretty new papers and stamps!  My first card is for the FMS sketch this week:

I have come to a realization that I am not drawn to use bright colors, but I forced myself to use some Magenta Madness, just a wee bit, on this card, along with some Flowers for Every Season DSP.  Be careful, it's so bright, you might need your sunglasses:

Since I don't have any matching ink, I stamped a sentiment from Many Mates in Melon Mambo and used the Stitched Nested Label dies to cut it out, along with a Magenta Madness and Just Jade DSP diecut as well:

For a little accent, I snipped out one of the florals from the DSP and added it at the bottom, along with a few extra leaves behind the diecut.

I am also throwing in a card I made for the daughter of a family friend; she graduated this year, and I don't know her school colors, but I thought it would be fun to create a brightly-colored card, so again...Magenta Madness and the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set; again, sunglasses-BRIGHT:

I used Melon Mambo ink for the background, and used Versamark to stamp the little dots in between.  I stamped the sunflower in Smoky Slate and used inks and a blender pen to color it in.  I added an accent layer of Granny Apple Green behind the sentiment:

and another sentiment from the same set seemed perfect for a new graduate heading off to college!

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

This is sort of the same way I feel on a lazy rainy afternoon!

Both lovely cards. I too always reach for softer colours, not sure why. These cards show we should push ourselves out of our comfort zones as they are both great

WOW, the second one is right in my wheelhouse, right up my alley and my cup of tea. So, I guess you realize I LOVE that one! I haven't opened my goodies yet because I put my lower back out once again but I'm hoping by tomorrow I can get into the craft room...I so want to try this design. Have a blessed weekend.

LeAnne, what can I say... my favorite color is gray! I feel you! But these darling cards will go a long way to brightening someone's day! That graduate will appreciate it, I just know it!
