PP431 Spring Fever

Hi everyone!  Happy Sunday to you!  Anne Marie is our Paper Players hostess today and she has a fun spring-themed challenge:

It's decidedly un-spring-like here this weekend...we have had snow, sleet, rain and now more snow predicted for this afternoon!  March is definitely coming in like a lion!  But we can have any season we want on our crafting creations, right?!  So here is my springy creation for this week:

Spring to me means Easter, cute little bunny images and some pretty spring colors!  I used this delightful sketch from Narelle at Freshly Made Sketches:

I just love this little bunny from a long-ago set called Hello Spring, but he was facing the wrong way, so I decided to try my hand at the "reflection" technique using my SU Silicone Mat.  I had found a really good tutorial (but can't put my finger on it now....I'll work on that....) but there are good ones on the internet, so feel free to look it up!  Anyway, I stamped my bunny, cut him out and colored him with some blends, then added some retired SAB DSP from a few years back, a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings, a few sequins, and some foliage from Jar of Love:

I cut out my mat with a Wonky Stitched die from My Favorite Things, then mounted it on a Soft Sky card base...I am still lamenting the retirement of Soft Sky, so this will go to a SPECIAL person for sure, LOL!

I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week....everyone can use some spring in their day, or their step, or wherever!!!  Check out what the Paper Players design team did as well!

Here's what we've been doing this March:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

What a super sweet spring card, LeAnne! I remember that bunny and love that you used the refection technique on him. That DSP is also very pretty and just the perfect thing to use to create spring in your craft room! I must remember to use your way of thinking today when I head down to craft this afternoon. I know it's to snow but will be thinking spring the entire time! TFS and have a happy day! :)

LeAnne, love your card, great use of both themes and I really love your colour combo of tan, orange and blue, works so well. I am glad that Cassidy is enjoying the snow. I dislike snow A LOT!! Cx

Love this fresh little spring creation LeAnne - I love those papers and hoarded some too! Another tip for using the reflection technique and your silicon mat - if you use your Stamparatus, the results are even sharper if you stamp on both sides as the exact outline is imprinted (does that make sense?!)
