Hello, stampers, happy Sunday. My heart is going out to those in Florida as well as along the coastline; my sister lives near Charleston, so we were praying for everyone! And I have a prayerful card to share today for Joanne's Paper Players challenge, as well:
Autumn is such a beautiful time of the year here in the US, especially when the leaves are turning colors and the air is crisp! I pulled out my favorite leafy stamp, French Foliage, and some inks, a spritzer of water and went to work:
It's tough to need sympathy cards, but they're a fact of life, unfortunately! I set up my stamps in the Stamparatus, then spritzed them with some water before stamping them on a piece of Very Vanilla to give them a weathered look.
I added a panel from a piece of Recollections paper pad on which I stamped the French script, and a sentiment and diecut from Papertrey in Lost Lagoon:
The inside was stamped with a sentiment from Hero Arts, and I stamped the oak leaf again in Versamark for a soft, subtle look. Everything went on a Soft Sky card base and I added a pretty piece of Lost Lagoon riibon as well.
My sketch and color palette came from the Fusion Card Challenge for this week:
I just know that you'll come up with some amazing autumn projects...and it doesn't have to be leaves! Think cornstalks, wheat, harvest, etc! Can't wait to see what you come up with, and for more inspiration, check out the Paper Players blog to see what the designers did! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

LeAnne, this is so beautiful! I need to try this amazing technique! I love the weathered images of the leaves! The sentiment is so lovely and I know this will bring great comfort. Have a great week, My Friend!
LeAnne, you found a gorgeous way to add that pretty Sea Mist and Riviera Green with your Lost Lagoon! I love your watery inking, too!
Hope your sister is okay!
Hi LeAnne, How are you? I think sympathy cards are the hardest. This is beautiful and perfect. I looked at Papertrey for the sentiment/die. Can you tell me where it came from?
Thanks,
Linda

A beautiful blending of those fall colors. Wonderfully done.
Gorgeous card with beautiful fall colors!
Such stunning colors in this beautiful card <3
I recognized those leaves right away, I love French Foliage too. Love the colors you chose and the Lost Lagoon and Soft Sky are the perfect compliment to the warmer tones on the leaves. Gorgeous use of the sketch too. I also hate making sympathy cards but you knocked this one out of the park.
I still have French Foliage too! Your background is gorgeous! Such a pretty card!
Ooo what a lovely reminder of how beautiful that stamp set is - I still have Frech Foliage somewhere too! And a perfect combination of the Fusion colours and sketch as well - I predict a winner here with this beautiful autumn creation LeAnne!
Absolutely stunning, LeAnne! I LOVE the colors you used. French Foliage was one of the best leaf sets ever...and this card is proof of the gorgeous cards it can be used to create.
LeAnne, this is one chic stamp set and I love how you showcased it. So much WOW in those fabulous fall colors. The simple ribbon treatment is such an awesome detail too. Wowza!
Such a beautiful card and the sentiment is perfect - anyone would be delighted to receive this even in times of sorrow. I love how you created the background...will have to try this sometime.
LeAnne, I find sympathy cards so difficult to make and tend to go to darker colors, this gorgeous card reminded me that I really shouldn't. Even though we are sending sympathy, these colors a celebrate life. Gorgeouos
