PP562 Thinking of You

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It has been a crazy weekend, lots of family stuff going on!  I was so distracted that I totally did the wrong Paper Players challenge!  Luckily, I was able to create this card in a jiffy, so now you'll have to wait until next week to see what I made by mistake!  It's Anne Marie's turn to be our hostess and she has a lovely color challenge for us:

I love peach and orange hues, so I was happy to use them!  I pulled out the Color and Contour bundle, some Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped some florals for my card today:

First, I randomly stamped the daisy image all over a Pale Papaya card base.  Then I stamped my floral outlines in Early Espresso, and filled in the flowers with Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie.  I was surprised at how dark the Pumpkin Pie looked on the Very Vanilla cardstock; it almost looked like Cajun Craze!  But I double checked my ink pad and it was indeed, Pumpkin Pie!

After diecutting them, I layered them on a panel that was stamped with the word image from Quiet Meadow, and added a Very Vanilla scalloped mat.  The sentiment is also from Quiet Meadow, diecut with a Tailor Made tag, and I added some Pale Papaya ribbon and a few sequins:

I think this would be appropriate for any number of occasions!  I hope you'll find some inspiration from our colors this week; be sure to share your creations with us at the Paper Players!  Thanks for visiting today!

My sister was visiting from South Carolina and wanted to visit my niece to see her new dog, Henry:

Henry has two "brothers", Winston and  Leroy, so it is like a three-dog circus at my niece's house!  It was almost as disorganized as trying to get a picture of my two nieces and my sister and I lined up for a photo!

We finally made it...only to see my BIL was adding his two cents (or two fingers) in from behind!  Crazy!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

A beautiful "card in a jiffy", LeAnne. Love how you put together all of the colors. I know you know I did the very same thing and had to scramble at the last minute when I realized I looked at the wrong challenge! It keeps us all sharp!! Nothing like spending time with family!

LeAnne, those photos are fabulous - the whole process made me smile and miss my friends and family - thank you so much for sharing!
Your card is gorgeous. You made these colors feel like a caramel sundae - rich and fabulous. I love the pumpkin pie script on the vanilla and the florals with just a touch of ribbon are gorgeous. Another stunning card

What a beautiful card, LeAnne! I thought I was the only one who did the wrong challenges. Haha!! Too much going on sometimes, right? I love the challenge colors paired with those beautiful florals. I might have to get this set out and make one of these as well. Henry is adorable and I just love your outtake photos. Sounds like a fun time with your family!
