PP618 CAS Gnome Christmas

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's time for a new challenge from the Paper Players, and Joanne is our sweet hostess with a great CLEAN AND SIMPLE theme that is sure to get everyone in a holiday card-making mood!  Here we go:

I had lots of ideas swirling around in my head for this challenge, since I have thousands of Christmas stamps, but there were a couple of fun challenges out in blogland that I thought would work with CAS creation....so here we go:

I saved this cute little gnome set from two years ago called Gnome for the Holiday and stamped them on some Thick Basic White cardstock.  I also stamped and cut two masks, then layered them over my little gnomes and stamped the treehouse in the background.  After watercoloring them in, I added the sentiment, some starry sequins, and rounded the corners for just a wee bit of interest:

There's also some Wink of Stella going on, but of course, you can't see it in the photo!  But it does make it sparkle and shine!  So the TGIF challenge this week is gnomes, and the Jingle Belles want us to make a card using their banner as an inspiration, and the Color Hues challenge is scarlet and green!

I hope you'll be able to play along with our challenge this week....just remember to keep it clean and simple!  It's hard sometimes to not add layers and doodads, but you can do it!  Stamps, ink and paper---the basics---are all you need!  Check out what the other designers did at the Paper Players and get some inspiration there! Thanks for popping in, enjoy your day and be blessed!

I love this sweet gnome pair LeAnne - great masking and good idea to just outline the treehouse as opposed to colour it - I think it's really effective. A CAS beauty!

LeAnne, these are the cutest little couple1 They made me smile. I agree with Joanne, it was a great idea to stamp only part of the gnome house it helps ground the whole scene. the little stars are the perfect finishing touch.

So cute, LeAnne! It's been ages since I played with this stamp set but I do still have it in my collection. Love how you colored them in, their pink noses are especially adorable!

Such a beautiful CAS card and you've used elements from our Jingle Belles blog banner beautifully and incoporated a few different challenges very cleverly! Thanks for joining our fun this fortnight!
