PP595 Graduation Congrats

Happy Sunday, peeps, time for a new Paper Players challenge with Claire as our hostess! She's got a fabulous color challenge, and it couldn't have come at a better time for me!  Check it out:

We're headed to a graduation party for a young man in our church, and he is going into the army!  So this patriotic color challenge was perfect for what I had in mind!  Here we go:

I loosely used the sketch only from Fusion:

I used the star as my circular focal point, and the little bursts in the background are from the Sentiment Silhouettes dies, which coordinate with the Charming Sentiments, which I also used for my sentiment.  This is such a great bundle!!!  The star is from a really old Waltzingmouse set called USA1776.  It has great patriotic images in it and I simply stamped the diamond shapes in the challenge colors, cut them out and pieced them together to form the star:

Since it's for a young man, I didn't put a lot of fussy embellishments on it, just added some Pacific Point DSP and a wee little resin star to the center.  Here's the inside, again using sentiments from Charming Sentiments:
Of course, he'll be mostly interested in what's INSIDE the card, right?!  LOL!  I hope you'll find some inspiration from our color challenge...check out what the DT created at the Paper Players blog...they're not ALL patriotic!  You can use these colors in lots of ways!  Share yours with us there too!

Cassidy participated in a big karate shindig yesterday.....she said she "sort of" had a good time.  I don't know...kind of looks like a fun time to me:

Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!
