PP438 Paper Pieced Butterfly

Happy Sunday, Happy Easter, friends!  It's time for another Paper Players challenge with Anne Marie as our lovely hostess, and it's another CAS challenge!  This is a really fun one...great idea, Anne Marie!  So here we go:

Originally, I made a different card for this challenge but thought it wasn't quite "clean and simple" enough...maybe I'll share that one tomorrow!  I went back to the drawing board and came up with this:

I stamped the big butterfly from Beautiful Day on some Twinkle Twinkle DSP and fussy-cut it out.  I stamped it again on a card of Whisper White, then added some of the elements from the retiring Touches of Texture, stamping them in Petal Pink.  I adhered the cut-out butterfly, added the "friend" from Botanical Bliss, then added a few iridescent sequins for some zing:

And since the Festive Friday challenge this week is pink, and the CAS on Sunday challenge is butterflies, I am entering this at both of those as well!

#festivefridaychallenge, #FF0032, Mother's Day, Pink

I hope you'll play along with our CAS Paper Piecing challenge!  Be sure to check out the DT's samples as well:

Thanks for popping by today!

Cassidy's dad recently was at a truck stop (he's a truck driver) and a little chihuahua ran up to him; apparently someone threw the little dog out the window (how anyone can do that is beyond me🙁).  Needless to say, they now have a new little member of the family:  Ginger!

Cassidy loves her!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This is pretty LeAnne! I love the pale pink and such a great use of those texture stamps. I made 2 this week too, although had the opposite issue to you; my first one was beautifully clean and simple - I’m just not sure it ‘worked’. Looking forward to seeing your second attempt tomorrow too. Sending you blessings for a wonderful Easter Day!

What a pretty way to use that big, bold butterfly! Love the monochrome treatment too with those lovely soft tattered lacy stamps in behind.

Your card is wonderful...what a great job of piecing. The background is fantastic. I agree, I don't know how anyone can do that. Ginger's a cutie and so tiny compared to Eden! So thankful for the rescue. Happy Ressurection Day to your and your family.

This card is a beauty, LeAnne! Love how you stamped the cardbase which adds so much texture to your card. That butterfly is one of my favorites! Awww, Ginger is adorable! Not sure how people can be so cruel to animals...breaks my heart! Cassidy now has 2 doggies in her life and they will be the best of friends! Happy Easter, to you & your family! Hugs~

Soft and pretty card!

So glad Cassidy's dad was in the right place at the right time! Little Ginger is darling and I am so glad she has a good home. How someone be so rotten is beyond me.

Happy Easter!

Your beautiful butterfly is very inspiring, LeAnne! Your great design would be perfect for any DSP! How fun!

Your card is beautiful, but that sweet little face of Ginger's wins the spotlight! Poor little thing. So happy she has a new home.

LeAnne,
I love this card. the black outline for the butterfly is perfect with the pink. I love how the dots on the butterfly are echoed in that gorgeous background. Stunning CAS card.
Now... the poor little dog... so glad he has wonderful new home. Honestly, I'd like to take people who throw animals out of cars - or in bins - or any other such atrocity - and do dreadful things to them. We picked up a kitten years ago that someone threw out of their car window in front of us. ugh!

Absolutely stunning, LeAnne! I love the lace background behind the butterfly! How anyone could ever treat a precious little dog - or any living thing - like that, I'll never understand. It hurts my heart. I am so happy Ginger now has a loving forever home!

I am so happy Ginger has a new home! So very sad to hear that anyone could do such a horrible thing. She is blessed to be a part of your family! XX

LeAnne, you know I am crying about the sweet pup. I'm so glad that Ginger has a forever family especially after someone treated her so horribly. So glad that she has a new and happy life! Your butterfly card is so great to commemorate her new beginning, too. So pretty!

What a darling card LeAnne! So glad Ginger has a good home. Dogs are a good judge of character and run up the kind and caring people. :) Thanks for joining us at Festive Friday Challenge.
