AYSI198 Birthday Butterfly

Happy Friday, peeps!  It's time for another As You See It challenge, and we have a lovely sketch for you!

No photo description available.

I went very literal with the sketch; as I was making this card earlier in the week, I was lamenting that I never use these beautiful retired butterfly dies, so when I saw the sketch, I knew what I wanted to use!

Once I cut out the butterfly from Early Espresso cardstock, the rest was easy to put together!  I used some Share What You Love Specialty DSP for my gives a nice shimmer that you can't see here.  I added some silver thread, a sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous and some Nature's Twine in Grapefruit Grove:

I had a little doily already half-cut and I used some sequins from my stash on a  piece of Thick White cardstock I embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder, then mounted it all on a Grapefruit Grove card.  And since it fulfills the bottom row across of Stamp Ink Paper's Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, I am entering there as well:

So happy you popped in today...I hope that you'll play with our beautiful sketch this week!  Show us what you create at the As You See It blog!

A few more pictures from my Longwood visit a couple of days ago:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

I just love this card, LeAnne! What a great use of that big butterfly. Love the woodgrain background and the snippet of DSP to set it off. Just are those blooms!

The butterfly die cut is such a stunner - I'd forgotten all about it! It looks fabulous against the quite dainty florals and Grapefruit Grove.
