Happy Palm Sunday, peeps! It's time for another Paper Players challenge, where Ann has given us a beautiful color challenge:
What beautiful spring colors! My first thought was to do a floral, but I like to try to think out of the box a wee bit, so I pulled out Crafting Forever, which I haven't used in a long time, and went to work stamping, coloring and cutting:
And my sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches:
This was a lot of fun to make! First, I stamped all the pens in Memento ink, then colored them with SU Blends and fussy-cut them out. To assemble the card, I used a piece of retired Daffodil Delight DSP for the top layer, then a piece of Balmy Blue, on which I stamped a floral image from an older Paper Pumpkin set. I colored it in with the light shade of Balmy Blue Blend and added a few little speckles. The little scallop of Calypso Coral finished the sketch! My final addition was the sentiment panel, which was diecut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit and accented with a Grapefruit Grove faceted gem, which I colored with a Calypso Coral Blend:
I left the bottom portion plain to offset the busy upper portion!
I am willing to bet you could come up with some amazing projects with these colors...I hope you'll share yours at the Paper Players blog! Meanwhile, check out what the DT did:
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Wow, your coloring/blending and fussy cut skills are off the chart! It looks like you used a die but I know there is no die for this set! It's obvious as to why you are so happy with it. You captured the sketch totally. Have a blessed Sunday.

This is such an awesome card - so much detail packed into one third of this card! Love the bright colours and fun design and genius idea to stamp the florals behind on the blue panel too. I love it!
What an amazing card, LeAnne! There are so many wonderful details, yet it is so clean! I love how you used the challenge colors. You hit this one out of the park for sure. Thank you for rocking my challenge!
LeAnne, this is such a creative and fun design! LOVE it!
LeAnne, I love this card! Fabulous idea for the sketch and such a fun way to use this set. I love those antique pens! I totally agree with this sentiment, but it has been a week, since I saw my craft room. I guess dying eggs with the kids was creative! LOL! Have a blessed Easter, My Friend! XX
LeAnne, I love this. My mind went florals and you showed us that these colors are even more flexible than I thought! Fabulous use of the sketch. All that wonderful white space allows your focal elements - and colors - to really shine. Fabulous, my friend
