MM240 Vintage Bells

Hi peeps, just a quick Christmas card today using a vintage postcard image for the Merry Monday's challenge of bells:

After printing the postcard on some cardstock, I matted it with a piece of Soft Sky and added some Pool Party stitched ribbon.  My background paper was also printed from a past Crafty Secrets Vintage Christmas download; sentiment is from Verve's Unto Us, which was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink and diecut with a Stitched Shape, and accented with a little champagne glimmer paper diecut bell:

Of course, the pups are pulling on some vintage bells in the postcard:

Happy Daffodils

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Today is my friend Martha's birthday, and since I know she likes purple, I created this card for her using Basket Bunch:

Perfect Plum is a color I rarely use, so it was nice to break it out (my foam ink pad still had the cello wrapper on it!!) and create a pretty spring bouquet:

I stamped the flowers and leaves on thick white cardstock and colored them with an aquapainter and inks.  The basket was diecut from Kraft cardstock and mounted on a stitched oval.  Then it was mounted on some striped DSP.  Simple and easy!  Happy Birthday, Martha!

SIP91 for Andrea's Awesome Birthday

 

Hi stampers!  It's Tuesday and that means another Stamp Ink Paper challenge!  This week we are celebrating Andrea's birthday!  Woohoo!!

Since I had my Right at Home "Color In Sentiments" stamp set already sitting on my desk, I thought I would use that big "awesome" on my card and practice my ombre coloring some more:

This yummy SAB glimmer paper was calling my name, and although it doesn't capture well in the photo, it matches my Bermuda Bay sentiment perfectly!  I cut out a frame from a Reverse Confetti die, stamped the sentiments, and colored in the "awesome" with an aquapainter and some ink:

 

I added a few swirly stars around the outside edge, a big diecut star, and a sentiment on the inside with some more glimmer!

Hi everyone!  Happy Spring!  I have a very quick little card today....I didn't get much stamping done this weekend, but I did manage to make a thank you for a customer, using Basket Bunch!  There are so many possibilities with this set, but these little carrots just cracked me up! Pinterest is full of examples, I can't wait to play around with it some more!

I stamped the carrots in Basic Black ink and watercolored them with Cool Cucumber, Peekaboo Peach and Pumpkin Pie inks, diecut them, then mounted them on some Stitched Shapes ovals:

They make me smile!  Thanks for popping in today!

One more little snow picture...it's melting slowly, but while Grampy was shoveling out, Cassidy insisted on helping, and we didn't discourage her!

Mostly she just shoveled it under the shed, LOL!

PP336 CAS Baby

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means Paper Players time!  Joanne has a clean-and-simple challenge today, and I am happy she does....because I don't have any baby cards!  So here we go:

I had a lot of ideas for this challenge, and I ended up making two!  Not sure how CAS this is, but at least the card base is!!  I used the beautiful color palette from Fab Friday:

and the little bunnies from Basket Bunch, which I finally broke down and got...toooooo cute!

 

I made a mini envelope using the die from Love Notes; colored and diecut all the little bunnies and the bow from Basket Bunch; and the hearts are from Foxy Friends:

I loved this idea so much, I even made another card, using a really old Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Stitched Shapes dies and again, the bunnies:

Aren't they the sweetest?

I can't decide which one I like best!!!

CTS213 You Make Me Smile

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Hope you are having a good weekend so far!  Just a quick little card for the Case This Sketch sketch for this week:

 

It gave me a chance to use a new-to-me Altenew set and some Dapper Denim:

 

I stamped the image on thick white cardstock and attempted to do some watercoloring, which didn't work very well, but I pushed through anyway!  I stamped a sentiment from Right at Home and did some ombre coloring on it:

 

My final addition was some sequins from my stash!

She and Panda eating green eggs for St Pat's.....not a big fan, Grammy ended up eating them!

CCC8 Gold and Silver

Happy Friday, peeps, and Happy St Pat's!  I hope you have something fun planned to do this weekend!  I haven't made a Christmas card for a while, and the photo challenge at Christmas Card Challenges inspired me to get out my gold and silver foil cardstock!  The photo is hard to see, but there are prancing deer and Christmas trees featured on some gift wrap.

My first attempt had been a shaker card for Tuesday's post...epic fail.  So I opted for something a little bit simpler, still not quite as I expected it to turn out, but at least it's another for my stash.  So here we go:

I started with a base of thick white cardstock on which to adhere my silver foil Evergreen Hillside diecut; I cut out a piece of Smoky Slate and printed vellum as well to layer and fit into the tree line on the top.  I then diecut two deer from gold foil, as well as a punched star, to adhere with dimensionals.  Pretty simple, all in all!  I love how pretty these diecuts are!

But I do have an issue with adhering vellum; it bugs me that I can see my little bigs of glue!  What do you use to adhere vellum?  I am sure there must be some good products out there on the market!  And I am still on the fence about adding a sentiment somewhere on the front.  For now, I'l leaving it as it is!  I did add a sentiment from Papertrey, stamped in Gold Encore, on the inside:

And here are a few snow photos...even though technically we didn't get that much, when it's all plowed up in a pile, it seems like a lot!  Here is my little "queen of the hill".....her scarf is blowin' in the wind, I think it must have been about 40 mph! You can see a portion of my little garden flag in the lower right hand corner....it is straight out!
