Simple FMS87 & CTD243

DSCF5208
Happy Saturday, peeps!  Just a quick little card today for you…really easy-peasy, using the Color Throwdown colors and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:
I was so hankering these little cloud dies that I saw on Tracey’s card here…and then something told me I had better check my stash, and lo and behold, I ALREADY HAD THEM!!!!  And I had never used them!!!  So I went to work, quick as a bunny, to make this card:

Used some gingham stamps, the Cloudy Day embossing folder from SU (only a short time left to get it….it’s not in the new catalog!!!!) and a triple-layer cardstock button (another retiring item!!!) along with a sentiment from Lil’ Inkers.  Fun, quick & easy!  And remember, if you have any questions, shoot me an email!
John put Cassidy’s toddler swing back up yesterday, and after a long, long swing in it herself, she informed me she was bringing Lambie and her babies to swing in it, too:

DS102 & IB76

DSCF5156

Happy Friday!!  I am looking forward to a great weekend—how about you?  Have some fun plans?  Here’s a cute inspiration photo from Inspired By that will put you in the traveling mood, along with a fun sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch :

Deconstructed Sketch 102

And here’s my take on both:

DSCF5155

I never have enough masculine cards, so I used an image from MDS for the vintage car, and the moustache is from A Fitting Occasion, mounted on a small bottle cap that was flattened in the Bit Shot!  I used MDS again for the sentiment on the inside:

Now I’ve got a great masculine card for my stash!

Blowing bubbles!  Sorry, she didn’t arrive with that clashing jacket on…just the only one we had in the house!!!

AD-Inspired Sympathy Cards

DSCF5020

My friend needed a couple of sympathy cards, and I remembered that I had just seen this picture in the latest issue of Architectural Digest:

DSCF5012

Pretty, huh?  I also fell in love with this card from my friend Tracey!  I am thinking that green is fairly trendy right now!  I did not have any toile stamps, but I did have a floral background stamp that was retired from SU.  I inked it up in a couple different greens, because although I loved the designs from the magazine, I wasn’t really fond of the olive color!!  So my first one is Garden Green:

The frame and garden images are from Crafty Secrets; the sentiment is from Thoughts and Prayers. Inside, more CS images and a verse from Blessings from Heaven:

Second one is done in Wild Wasabi:

I stamped the sentiment full-strength and the image was stamped off one time:

Again, did some stamping on the inside; I just love these garden images!

Edited to add:  I am also linking this up for the Papercraft Star challenge this week:

Dana took Cassidy to a field day at a local school yesterday, where she “sort of” participated in a sack race:

IHS109

DSCF5009

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Another birthday card for another sketch challenge, this time it’s I {Heart} Sketches #19:

I used some Epic Day This & That papers and a couple images from Everything Eleanor:

DSCF5007

I did some heat embossing of the floral image, then colored it in with reinkers, stamping directly on the DP for all the images:

I added a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes along with the little bird, and a shabby little seam binding bow:

PPA159 & PDC182

DSCF5004

Hello there, peeps!  Squeaking in another post today---I am combining a couple of challenges today for a birthday card I needed!  I used the Pals Paper Arts sketch 159”

PPA159w-frame

along with the beautiful colors from the Play Date Café, for which the deadline is fast approaching:

I had a wee bit of trouble with the maroon color, but I squeezed it in on my flowers!:

I didn’t really like Poppy Parade when it first came out; now I wish it would come back!  What a great shade of red!  I used some papers from last year’s Domestic Goddess pack, as the prints and colors were perfect for the challenge!

I don’t have any new photos of Cassidy to share, but I was able (amazingly!!!) to snap a couple pictures of my elusive oriole.  I knew where he was in the tree, so I just aimed my camera and took a couple of shots.  This tree was probably 50’ away from me!   These are cropped and enlarged, so they’re not real clear, but good enough to get a view:

On another bird note, as I was parking my car in my driveway yesterday, a huge pileated woodpecker flew right across my field of vision!  I was dumbfounded!  I had seen one in the woods once, so to have him fly so close to me and close to the ground….my head was in the clouds!    Enjoy your day!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  I hope you weathered your Monday okay…my heart and prayers go out to those who may be victims of the storms in Oklahoma…so sad!  Arielle has a wonderful ColourQ challenge for us today:

Isn’t this pretty?  It still threw me for a little loop, though!  Broke out my hexagon die and stamp set from PTI for my card today:

LeAnne_CQC190

I added a couple of butterflies from Papillon Potpouri:

and used some of the leftover hexagons for the inside:

I hope this inspiration photo inspires you!!! What can you make with these colors?  Share it with us at the ColourQ blog, where you’ll see all the fantastic creations using these colors!

Oh boy…you know you’re in trouble when you hear the water running and you know you didn’t turn it on:

Yep…pushed the chair over, climbed up and turned on the faucet!!!

Merry Monday 63

DSCF4979

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a great weekend….I am still recovering from my yard sale!  Thank goodness DH & DD were there to help!

Lesley has a fun sketch for us this week!  Check it out:

I pulled out some cute little papers gifted to me by my friend Martha to make my card:

MM63-LeAnne

That fun set from last year’s Christmas catalog, Scentsational Season, was a perfect match!  I stamped the mug in Garden Green and added the candy cane in Real Red!  It was mounted on an circle embossed with the Snowburst folder, and embellished with some little hologram stickers:

DSCF4980

After adding the banner on the front, I also added a sentiment on the inside along with a couple snowflakes:

DSCF4981

I hope you’ll play along with us this week to add to your Christmas card stash!  And make sure you check out what the other designers have created using this sketch at Lesley’s Always Playing with Paper blog!!!

Deep in thought…..complete with all three colors of barrettes that she insists on wearing!  Enjoy your day!
