PP535 Spring Flowers Welcoming Door

Hello everyone!  Happy Easter (again) to you!  Jaydee has our Paper Players challenge this week and it's a lovely one!  Perhaps stamping and coloring flowers might make it feel a bit more spring-like!  So here we go:

I really had so many ideas for this challenge, I struggled a bit!  Finally, I pulled out the retiring Under My Umbrella, because those little Mary Engelbreit-ish flowers have always appealed to me!  I stamped and colored several of them, fussy cut them out and created a wreath for my little "front door":

To create a base for my wreath, I dicut a narrow circle (which you can't see here) and used that so I could adhere my flowers in the correct shape.  I created my door with Pool Party cardstock, embossing the panels with the Pinewood Planks EF, then shading them with Sahara Sand ink:

The "welcome" and the bricks are from the Welcoming Window set, and I added a little silver Brushed Metallic watering can diecut (and a doorknob!):

I am in love with that little watering can, LOL!  And since the Krafty Chicks challenge is "Stamp Act", I am entering it there too! Thanks for popping in today!

I hope you'll find lots of inspiration at the Paper Players this week; check out what the design team on the PP blog and then be sure to share your floral creation with us as well!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

What an inviting front door you have created, LeAnne! These little flowers are perfect for making an adorable wreath. The watering can is so cute, and is a great addition to the scene. Have a wonderful week!

The difference between you and I is that I would have needed a specific die cut for the door and a specific stamp/die for the wreath. But you have created a beautiful wreath out of an itty-bitty flower - and a perfect looking door out of rectangles. It's gorgeous!! And the watering can is a perfect little accent.

LeAnne, I just love this PP door color! I actually saw two doors on my walk this a.m. that were this color. Addison was with me and we both commented on the pretty color. The blending on the door makes it look so realistic. The wreath of pretty, bright flowers is just perfect! Have a great rest of the week! Cassidy is so grown up! She is a beauty!
