PP564 Cherished Friend

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Paper Players challenge and I am the hostess today!  I've got a three-paneled sketch for you--no surprise there, I love things in threes!  Here it is:

I decided to take a break from fall, Halloween and Christmas and go back to some of those pretty DSPs that I've been neglecting!  I picked out three from the You're A Peach pack and went to work:

Each panel was diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die, and I adhered them on top of a Stitched Nested Label die that I cut in half so that it would kind of stretch to the edges of my card!!  The peach was fussy cut and adhered to a Tasteful Labels circular diecut:

I stamped a sentiment from Lovely You in Calypso Coral, then mounted it on an Old Olive DSP banner, and added some sequins for fun!  This went together pretty quickly....I let the paper do most of the work!  And just for fun, I made another card...this one features the neutral papers from Harvest Meadow and a watercolored bird from Free as a Bird:

I used a diecut from Ornate Frames and some Braided Trim as well as the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.  I flipped the sketch as well so my bird wouldn't be looking off into space!

I hope you'll be able to play with us at the Players this week with my sketch, and while you're there, check out what the rest of the Design Team created!  Thanks for popping in today!

Razzleberry Poinsettia

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Quick post today; I have a card using the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the sketch from Global Design Project:

I haven't used Poinsettia Petals for a long time, so I pulled it and the Poinsettia dies out for today's creation:

I did a wee bit of stenciling with some Smoky Slate ink, then diecut two sets of poinsettias and sponged the edges with some Craft White ink.  Harvest Meadow DSP and a scalloped square of Misty Moonlight was the base for the flower and I added some "berries" cut from Smoky Slate DSP.  I heat embossed a sentiment on some Vellum and diecut it with a Tailor Made tag die, then added some silver Metallic Pearls.

Here's the inside:

This is such a versatile set, I need to play with it more often!  Thanks for visiting today!

My nephew took his family to Montana over the summer and his wife just shared these photos of Jameson and Sawyer! Look how high they are off the ground in these hammocks!

I think this is the sweetest one!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

FMS508 Christmas Lights

Happy Friday, peeps!  We have a busy weekend planned, how about you?  I am looking forward to our church's harvest party tomorrow! But right now, I've got a (ahem) very busy card for you...if I had to do this one all over, I would definitely make it less fussy!  But once I got started, I had to see it through!  I used the FMS sketch, which I turned on its side:

And some of these fun papers from  Sweet Stockings.  Here we go:

This is way busier than my usual style for sure!  Anyway, I stamped and fussy-cut Christmas bulbs from the Little Delights set and gave them a baker's twine cord and a couple little sequins for glitz:

I wish I had moved the sentiment up a little bit, but after putting all this work into it, I wasn't going to try to re-do it, LOL!  I gave the bulbs a wash of Wink of Stella too....hopefully someone will appreciate getting it in the mail this holiday season!  Thanks for visiting!

Ganae, Wayne's first stepdaughter, surprised everyone yesterday; she and her mom were living in NC and moved back to the area, but didn't tell Dana and Wayne.  She showed up at dinner with Wayne's parents after karate to surprise them!  The look on Cassidy's face tells me she's thrilled to have her back closer to home!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TTTC136 Ho Ho Ho

Hey peeps! Back again today with a new Team X Tic Tac Toe challenge!  My turn today to fill in the grid and here's what I've come up with:

Oh my, I have SO many Christmas stamps, I don't think I could use them all in a lifetime!  I totally forgot about this big vintage Santa image from Flourishes...it's several years old....but I thought he would like to be remembered, so I pulled him out and went to work, using the right hand column of glitter, die and star:

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the image in Real Red and diecut him with a Stitched Rectangle die.  I mounted him on an Evening Evergreen mat on which I stamped some holly leaves, but they're really not very visible, and then on a Cherry Cobbler card base.  The sentiment is from The Stamp Market, stamped in Soft Succulent.

The glittery stars are from SU glimmer paper from a few years back, punched out with a retired Country Star punch.  The inside sentiment is from Papertrey:

I hope this grid prompts you to get started on your Christmas cards if you haven't already!  It's only a couple of months away!  Share your creation with us at Tic Tac Toe--can't wait to see it!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB192 Who's Your Boo?

Hey there!  Happy you popped it today!  It's time for a new Inspired By challenge, and look at these cuties:

And here's our optional sketch; you can use it with a prompt or all by itself!

I was really, really tempted to make a Christmas card for today but I am still needing Halloween cards so I decided to challenge myself to make one with these unusual colors, (at least for Halloween), and with the sketch:

First, I made a stencil by diecutting a rectangle opening in a sheet of acetate; I used a Stitched Rectangle die, which puts "stitching" on both the inside and outside of the die, so I actually got a wee bit of stenciling through the stitched lines, LOL!  After filling in the stencil with Blushing Bride, Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake inks, I pulled out an old Halloween set called Spooky Bingo Bits and stamped three images on some scrap white and fussy-cut them out to layer on top of the stenciled areas. I gave each of them a little color with some Blends, too.  The stenciled areas looked a little plain, so I pulled out a retired Paper Pumpkin set and added some background images:

The big sentiment at the bottom was also from a Paper Pumpkin set, and to jazz it up a little, I added some sequins.  The inside sentiments are from Paper Pumpkin, Little Delights and Banner Year:

Definitely not your typical Halloween card but I love it!  Scary, but not TOO scary!  I hope you'll be inspired by our two prompts this week...it's always a blast seeing how everyone interprets them!  Share them with us over at Inspired By and you might be chose as a winner!

On my morning walk recently, I took a couple pictures of these wild morning glories....it amazes me that they are so hardy, they'll grow right in among the rocks!  They also grow in the corn fields...not such a good thing for the farmer!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TCC162 Autumn Gratitude

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Time for a new Card Concept challenge...I love this little scene, doesn't it look so inviting?:

I really loved that pillow in the background; it reminded me of  CTMH set called Poster Tidings, so I pulled it out and inked it up, along with some other fall-imaged stamps:

The words were stamped in Cherry Cobbler on some Very Vanilla cardstock; I stamped a pumpkin in Crumb Cake, and leaves in Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Crushed Curry.  As an afterthought I stamped the swirls to give it some "motion", then ran it all through the Tasteful Textile EF and adhered it to a Sahara Sand card base.  I kept wanted to add some ribbon or sequins or something but in the end, just left it simple, so I am calling this a Clean and Layered style!

I love these fall themes!!  I hope you'll find some inspiration from our prompt this week--flowers, plaid, wood, textures--could be anything!  Just tell us your style when you do share it with us!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for popping by!

This child would never eat shrimp before...now she gobbles it up!

This happens to be my favorite Perkins meal too--Teriyaki Shrimp!  Yum!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

AHSC443 Boo!

Hi everyone!  I am gearing up and getting ready to mail out my Halloween cards, and I needed a few more, so I put the Atlantic Hearts Sketch for this week to use!  Here's the sketch:

The Cute Halloween papers really make created Halloween cards a piece of cake!  Here we go:

The only stamping is the "boo!" from Banner Year; the papers do all the rest of the work!  I fussy-cut the ghosts out, adding the little witch hat to the larger one, then I added some orange glimmer stars and called it done!

Thanks for popping in today!

Dana and her friend hosted a baby shower over the weekend and she spent a lot of time on food and decor!  Here's Cassidy with the mom-to-be:

I love the backdrop and those amazing balloons!  And take a look at these little succulents; they say "Watch Me Grow":

They also had a station where each person could write a funny thing on a diaper so that the new parents could have a moment of levity while making those late-night changes!  I used Forever Fern in various greens to make the sign for her:

The venue was a lovely little coffee shop and it was perfect!  Check out these cookies and cake:

Dana did NOT make the cookies, but aren't they amazing??!  I am stunned!  They're too pretty to eat!

Less than a month away and this little one will be making its debut!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
