Happy Tuesday, everyone! Taking a break from Christmas cards and squeezing in a couple of challenges today with a birthday card! Seize the Birthday is an “anything goes” challenge, Paper Craft Crew Challenge has this sketch:
and the trend week at Just Us Girls is watercoloring:

So here we go:
I dampened a piece of watercolor paper and lightly dabbled on some Lost Lagoon ink. I pulled some papers from the Pretty Petals stack for my banners, then stamped the feathers from Cheer All Year for the focal point.
A Paper Pumpkin birthday sentiment stamped in Basic Black was bold enough to work against the watercolored background. I also added a few sequins from my stash, added some black glimmer paper elements, and speckled some color on with a wet paintbrush. My sentiment inside is from Cottage Greetings and I stamped another feather as well:
It’s off to the mailbox this card goes! Thanks for visiting today!
Cassidy went to her friend Gabby’s birthday party on the weekend. Gabby is all about glam and glitz….Cassidy? Well, she apparently hasn’t given up Halloween yet, LOL!
Enjoy your day!

Peace Christmas
Happy Monday, peeps! A quick Christmas card for you today; I let the paper do all the work on this one!
MME has some beautiful papers called All Is Bright (they’re a couple years old, so I don’t know if they’re still available) and this sheet is just full of eclectic beauty! I took a trimmed portion to make the “all is calm” banner, and some leftover music paper from this card to diecut the Papertrey “peace”, then backed it with another diecut in Basic Black to give it some definition:
I did stamp this sentiment from Verve in Basic Black ink direction on the paper, then added some twine and gold sequins!
The paper is matted on Crumb Cake and then on a Soft Suede card. Hope you like it!
Enjoy your day!

Paper Players 271
Happy Sunday, peeps! Time for another Paper Players challenge, with Jaydee as our hostess today! Here’s her challenge:

A great challenge to help us get started on those holiday cards, if we haven’t already started! I just happened to have a cute stamp, very neglected on my shelf, from Elzybells, that was perfect for the challenge:
Little Elzybell is enamored, as I am, with that wee little sweet Christmas bird! (Unfortunately, I am pretty sure the company went out of business, so I don’t think they’re available any longer!) I stamped them in Basic Black and used some ink, an aquapainter and markers to color them in:
I diecut the image with a Lil’Inkers stitched circle die, and added some Dazzling Diamonds snow and an Elzybells sentiment as well! I mounted them both on a panel of Soft Sky embossed with the Softly Falling EF…love that thing! Really simple little card! I hope you’ll play with us this week and share your clean and simple Christmas card! Can’t wait to see it; and here’s what the DT created:
We did some heavy-duty coloring one day last week, and when it was time to clean up, Cassidy insisted on returning the crayons to the box in the order shown on the lid….why didn’t that surprise me?
Our only distress was that one crayon was missing…uh oh! It messed up the lineup, so we’re on the search for that errant one! Enjoy your day!

Another In(k)spire Me Card!
Hi peeps! Happy Friday! I was so inspired by the sketch at Inkspire Me (do you know that if you try to put a parentheses around a “k”, you get this: ??? So weird! Cute, but weird!) that I decided to use it again for a Christmas card. Here ya go:
And in case you forgot what the sketch looked like, here it is:
This go-round, I used Merry Moments DSP along with Home for Christmas (music) and diecut a big circle of Very Vanilla on which to stamp that pretty snowflake from Holly Jolly Greetings in Soft Sky ink. I added the sentiment in Lost Lagoon and Basic Black, then diecut the sleigh and horse using the Sleigh Ride edgelits, from another circle of Lost Lagoon:
Added some glitter and bling, or “bedazzle”, as my friend Anna calls it, and stamped the inside like this:
My trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig really comes in handy with this set! My final touch was a bit of shabby Soft Sky seam binding, tied with silver ribbon, and adhered with a glue dot! Thanks for visiting today!
AJ hadn’t had a bath in a while, so we needed to take care of that….”I’m a good mommy, aren’t I, Grammy?” Oh yes!
Enjoy the day!
