AYSI267 This is Knot Good

Hi stampers!  Happy Friday!  Time for a new As You See It challenge and it's a real pretty one:

The obvious choice would be to use a floral, but I wanted to think outside the box a bit, and I had not used Back on Your Feet for a long, long time, so here we go:

I began with the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I stamped my giraffe in Memento black ink and colored him with Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral Blends, added a sentiment in Evening Evergreen, then diecut the image and matted it with an EE mat:

I used DSPs in Calypso Coral and Soft Succulent and just to add a wee bit more of the Crumb Cake, added an Ornate Frame diecut which was embossed and sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  The three little elements at the top were diecut with floral centers from the Pierced Blooms die; they kind of reminded me of the spots on the giraffe!!

Although these were not colors I would normally use together, I really like how this card turned out!  And since I have a friend who is recovering from you-know-what, and she LOVES giraffes, this is going out in the mail to her as we speak!  I hope you'll play along with our fun color challenge this week!  Check out what the AYSI Design Team created when you visit our blog to share yours as well!  See you there!

"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.  For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil."  Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

So stinkin cute, LeAnne! I love that stamp set that you used and have been on the fence for a long time whether to get it or not. I love your design and those colors look great together! The recipient is sure to love this and it will help her feel better! TFS Are you suppose to get any snow today/tomorrow? It is snowing here as I type. Only a coating so far. I hope that will be it! LOL I'm over the snow & cold this year! Stay warm, my friend!

LeAnne, this giraffe has been my favourite, along with his punny sentiment for a couple of years now! He works so well with this colour palette along with the great paper you chose!
