Hi stampers! I finally got a chance to play a little more with the Ornate Garden Suite/bundle, and I happened to see a post by Patty Bennett, where she used one of the Ornate Borders dies to create a stencil! I had been thinking the same thing, so I was excited to see it actually put to paper! You can see her post HERE. She chose to use brighter colors, I went with softer ones! So here we go:
When I started playing around, I was just using scrap paper, but it turned out pretty well, so I decided to go forward with it and create a card! I began by cutting a stencil from piece of cardboard from a cereal box :
I sponged Blushing Bride on the flower openings with a sponge dauber, and while the stencil was still in place, I used an aquapainter to add some Calypso Coral to the center and to shade the inner petals. I sponged the leaves with Pear Pizzazz, and also used my aquapainter to color in the tiny dots:
I added diecut borders from Ornate Borders and Be Mine Stitched Hearts, then topped it with a piece of Terracotta Tile gingham. I stamped a sentiment from Ornate Thanks, diecut it and added some pearls for a simple embellishment:
I love how this turned out! Thanks for popping in today!
My niece shared some pix of my great-nephews Jameson and Sawyer dying Easter eggs:
Their little faces are just SO precious! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This is just the prettiest LeAnne - these dies do make great stencils don’t they? Love it combined with the borders and the gingham - such a fresh card! Great photos of your nephews too - they look like they’re having great fun.
Love the stenciled border with the soft colors of the flowers! Love that gingham paper too!
Love this idea, LeAnne! Beautiful colors you chose too for this sweet card!
LeAnne, you know I love this gingham, but OH do I love it in this color, and that sweet little oval spot you've used for your sentiment!
What a fun technique to have in your arsenal... and adorable kids to have as members of your family! EGGSTRA sweet!

Oh boy! Another great idea for using these spectacular dies. I can't wait to give this a try!
There is just too much awesomeness with your post today! I LOVE the design of your card and I haven't really played with the dies yet. Oh, and the "Gingers" coloring eggs melted my heart. I still have to go watch the video from the other day. We've been busy cleaning the outside of the house before we head to NC for the month of May AND I'm trying to figure out stamping supplies to take...that's an even BIGGER project! Thank you for sharing your talent and family with your fans.
That gingham and your sweet stenciled blooms were made for each other! Love this Leanne!
Nice little card!
I like the idea of making your stencil.
This is one of those times I say "Why didn't I think of that?"
Thanks for sharing. Hope the storms didn't do damage for you.
I love how you made the stencil - this is lovely!
