Hi peeps, and happy Thursday! Brr, we're having a cold spell here in PA....crazy weather! I thought spring was here! Anyway, it's Inspired By time and when I saw the inspiration photo, I admit, I was thinking to myself, "What in the world am I going to do with that?"!!! Check it out, and the optional sketch:
When I saw the sketch, a simple idea began to form, and then I really had some fun! Easy and simple, here we go:
I took four colors of cardstock that sort of match the colors in the photo and cut some scallops along the edge; then I embossed each panel with a different embossing folder:
I already had this double diecut black and gold sentiment hanging around my desk, unused from another project and thought it would be perfect! I thought I would add a little trim and I remembered this gold braid that my friend Mary Rose sent me, so I just adhered a strip to the edge. What a fun, easy card!!
What will inspire you from our photo this week? Be sure to check out the samples the design team created...you can use just the Inspired By photo or throw in the sketch as well! Can't wait to see what you create! We have had some awesome submissions and have loved seeing them! Thanks for popping in today!
Thought I'd share a photo of Jameson - his birthday party was a drive-by, and here he is, playing his new guitar!! Aunt Kelly (his daddy's sister) is in the car, with Winston peeking out of the window!! Jameson's family is quite musical (not our side, his mom's side!) so I have no doubt that someday it might be a real guitar he'll be playing!

Cute boy and what a fun guitar!
You've used our Sketch again this week, LeAnne - perfectly! LOve the addition of the embossing to the strips of color, and it was the perfect card for the gold - you found those lights in the photo, didn't you?!
I think Jameson's birthdays are coming too fast... what a darling rocker he is!

What a fun idea for your card! Good job! Okay, the little one is adorable and the doggie in the car is too! Thanks for sharing.
Perfect colors and fabulous idea for the sketch! Love it!
I think you nailed the sketch perfectly! I love the bright, fun colors - your card is wonderful!
What a clever card. I can't wait to make something like that with the layering of embossed pieces. the bright colors really are fabulous, too.
I love the drive by birthday parties, and the little guy playing his Hound Dog guitar. I have given that to each of my grandchildren for their birthdays. A favorite of mine.
What a wonderful way to capture the layers of colors from the photo! This is terrific LeAnne! Rock on Jameson!
I love the way you've interpreted this photo LeAnne - the colours, the textures and those touches of gold. Perfect! And just look at Jameson with that laid back rock star stance! Vicky x
What a clever double you pulled off here LeAnne - love the way you combined those colours with added texture for interest and the bold sentiment and fabulous gold trim are the most perfect finishing touches. Gorgeous!
Oh and I forgot to say how cute Jameson is in the photo - adorable! Love the idea of a drive-by birthday too - needs must and all that!
