RRCB114 Christmas Double Trouble

Happy July! The Retro Rubber challenge is starting off this month with a bang (because it’s July, after all)! We are starting our challenge a day early so that we can team with the Double Trouble Challenge! Now, I have to admit that I had never heard of this challenge, so I was intrigued!
Our theme is Christmas in July so all you have to do for our challenge is to make a Christmas card using at least one stamp older than a year. Here's our prompt:

Here’s the cool part: by teaming with Double Trouble you get to play along with their challenge as well! All you need to do is follow their requirements which are super easy and fun!
· Thing 1 – Double Trouble: Make a square card, scrapbook page, gift box or use squares on your project.
· Thing 2 – Double Dare: Use a rubber or acrylic stamp older than one year. (Sweet – that’s us!)
· Thing 3 – Twisted Sister: If you create a beach scene with Santa you can earn an extra chance to be in Double Trouble’s random draw.
Be sure to visit their website – Double Trouble Challenge – to get all the details for their challenge to make sure that you are following their requirements as well!
So here we go! Double the fun! Double the Trouble!

For my card today, I chose to make a square card; I used a Cottage Cutz die to cut out Santa and his team from some watercolor paper and colored them with some watercolor brushes; still getting the hang of using them!  I added a background of "snow" and a little ribbon diecut from the Arts and Crafts dies:

My top sentiment is from a 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit, and the bottom sentiment is from To You And Yours (2008).  That set is one of my favorites!

And just for fun, since the Jingle Belles' challenge this week is Snow Much Fun, I am entering my snowy scene there, too!  It's nice to think of snow and Christmas when the temperatures are in the 90s, right?!  I hope you'll play along with our Double Trouble challenge these two weeks...be sure to share your creation with us on both websites!  Have fun!

We had a quick downpour last week, which turned our little creek into a swollen rushing river!  The water was up to the bottom of the bridge!  The kids went down to stick their feet in and I think it freaked Cassidy out a little....not really, she was just cheesin' for the camera!  It was impressive, though!  Loud and fast!  You don't fool with Mother Nature, LOL!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Love the snowy scenery you created with Santa and his team and meeting Double Trouble's "Be Square" by creating a square card...fun card. Thanks for using our "Be Square" requirement and please enter your fun card at Double Trouble and come back for future Thing 1, 2 and 3 challenges.
