PP419 Sweet Treats

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday to you!  I am the hostess at the Paper Players today, and I have a clean-and-simple sweet challenge for you:

I know that clean and simple can be a challenge....we all like layers, diecuts, ribbons and doodads, right?!!  But I kept my card to ONE LAYER...can you believe it?  I used a big subway art-style sentiment to create it:

Both the sentiment and cup of cocoa are from Close to My Heart; I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick; I just love all the fun holiday thoughts it incorporates, and my Stamparatus ensured a good image:

The little cup of cocoa was stamped in Call Me Clover and Crumb Cake inks, accented with SU blends:

I resisted adding some snowflakes or doodads, to keep it clean and simple!!! Since this is one layer, I am entering this in Festive Friday's one-layer challenge as well as Just Add Ink's big bold sentiment challenge!

#festivefridaychallenge, #FF0021, Stampin Up, 3D Day, one layer card

The design team has some lovely creations this week, be sure to check them out at the PP blog!  And I hope you'll play along with our challenge as well!  Here are their links:

I have chocolate on the brain, my eye went right to the words Hot Cocoa! This is cute LeAnne...almost as cute as those bundled up nuggets!

That is a fabulous bold sentiment LeAnne! I love how you matched it with the steaming hot mug of cocoa and how that adds such a bright little pop of colour. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

A one layer card - now that's something I don't often do! Yours is just perfect LeAnne, I love that big sentiment, and the little steaming cup of cocoa is the perfect accompaniment. What a wonderful picture of Cassidy and Dana, it belongs in a frame! Those look like some hand-crocheted hats, too :)

I do love that big art style sentiment. It really sets the tone - but alas not for the Southern Hemisphere - unless it has a sister that substitutes a cold beer for a hot cocoa. :-) Doesn't Stamparatus make itself indispensable?

This is indeed a really sweet card LeAnne! I love your crisp and bold sentiment with it's different sized fonts and the mug of hot chocolate is coloured so beautifully and the perfect accompaniment. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.
