Freshly Made Sketches 58
It’s Wednesday---wow, halfway through the week already. Narelle has a wonderful sketch for us today…I just LOVE it:

I almost forgot that I was supposed to be doing a clean and fresh card; I hope the team doesn’t kick me to the curb with my sponging on this fall card:
I rarely use Soft Suede, but I liked how this image looked stamped in it on some Basic Grey paper. I added a couple of elements from another fall set (oh boy, do I have a LOT of fall sets….and I am trying to use them all!) and stamped the leaf & acorn border down the edge as well as on the 7/8” twill ribbon. The center of the circular element features a felt flower and Antique Brad:
I can’t wait to see how you interpret this sketch….it’s one I will use often, I think! Be sure to flutter over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see what the other designers created this week!
Any season is popsicle season!

ColourQ160
Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday to you….and it’s ColourQ day! Check out this fun banner inspiration:
These are great Halloween colors, but I went in a little bit of a different direction, taking my cue from that spooky tree:
I mixed up some different stamp sets here, randomly stamping my leaf image in the challenge colors on a black tree, adding some fun embossing and a couple of buttons! I cut down some big blingy leaf stickers my friend Martha gave me to add a little sparkly interest:
I also added a little popped-up leaf at the bottom, next to my sentiment! I hope you are inspired to make a spooky or fun creation with these colors! Check out the ColourQ blog to see ALL the fabulous stuff the Courtiers have created this week! And remember, if you have any questions, just shoot me an email!
While I was sweeping the floor last week, Cassidy told me she was going to “sweep” with the dustbroom:
Great hand movement!
I didn’t have the heart to tell her I usually don’t sweep the walls and doors!

Merry Monday 38
Merry Monday, everyone! Lesley has a very pretty sketch for us today:

I dug into my old hoarded stash of DPs and came up with some pretty Basic Grey papers for my card today:
I glittered up a little chipboard snowflake which fit perfectly on top of the snowflake image, and added a glimmer brad:
I also folded my little banner for some interest:
and here’s the simple inside:
I sure hope you’ll play along with us this week! Check out all the samples at Always Playing with Paper! Can’t wait to see yours!
We went to the pumpkin farm last week:
She just wanted to play with them! And here’s my own pumpkin----one of John’s Saturday morning pancakes just happened to look like a pumpkin! Well, maybe it looks more like a leaf! LOL!

Triple CAS
Hi peeps! A three-challenge card today! Here are the challenges:
A sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #2:

A CAS challenge from CAS-ual Fridays:

and an inspiration photo from Inspired By #46:

And here we go:
This card didn’t turn out at all the way I had first envisioned it! I fiddled with a couple little images, didn’t like them, chucked them, tried something else, chucked that, then remembered these pretty chipboard stickers I had…and the colors in this butterfly matched the necklace pretty well! I made the card a wee bit narrower so that it will fit into a normal envelope even with the butterfly hanging over the edge. A little bit of baby powder patted on the sticky side keeps it from sticking to the envelope!
Can you see the glitter on the wings? So pretty! I added an Artistic Outpost sentiment and a little flower (the rule of three) to finish it off. Oh, and the mat is Sahara Sand with Distressed Dots stamped in craft white! Thanks for visiting today!
Cassidy is taking Lambie for a walk in the yard….but he has to be sitting in the cart just so!

PPA145 & CTD214
It’s been waaaay too long since I have participated in a Color Throwdown challenge, but when I saw the colors this week, I knew I had to make time! A welcome break from fall colors:

I was too lazy to get out my Summer Sun and Brilliant Blue paper and ink, so I substituted Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point! I also used the sketch from the Pals Paper Arts for this week:
And here we go:
Big and bold, huh!? It sort of got away from me!! Anyway, the card that Ann had for the Paper Players this week reminded me I had not used this Decorate A Daisy set in a while, and the colors seemed to be appropriate! This card will go to a friend who is having some health issues and I want to cheer her up! Thanks for stopping by today…if you have any questions about my card, just shoot me an email!
Can you believe it? Cassidy actually likes broccoli!
