Paper Players 145

DSCF4770-001

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!  I hope it’s a wonderful day for all the moms out there!!!  Jaydee has a fabulous color challenge for us today:

I have to admit that this one threw me for a loop at first!  Having just gone through almost ALL my stamp sets while remodeling, I was convicted that I need to spread the love around a bit!   So I pulled out a couple of PTI sets for my card today:

PP145-LeAnne

I used a couple of different embossing folders:

and two different banner dies:

and I punched out a couple of hearts from the leftover plaid images for the inside:

I used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch as well for my card; I did offset my circle just a little for some added visual interest:

Now, what can you do with these fun colors?  Floral?  Masculine?     Can’t wait to see!  Stop by the Paper Players blog to see what everyone else created!!!  And if you have any questions about my project, just shoot me an email!

My great-nephew took Cassidy a ride in his “Hummer”…..note the fact that she is in the driver’s seat, but he is driving!!!  And the seat belts had to be fastened too!

US210 & SR175 and Happy Mother’s Day!

0

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I had a little time to stamp today before my daughter took me to lunch for Mother’s Day!  I used the inspiration photo from Stampin’ Royalty:

Swoon!  Love these colors together!  I also used the Unscripted Sketches sketch for today:

And here we go:

I am so excited that Soft Sky is making a comeback!  It looks lovely with Baked Brown Sugar, don’t you think?  The actual color is a tiny bit more green that what shows here on my computer….but it still a lovely color!  I used some retired background stamps (Linen and Floral) as well as a wee bit of the new Mosaic Madness, and some bits and pieces from the Artisan Embellishment pack, which is still available!

I did some stitching around my panel, and used some MDS burlap for my curved mat!  Any questions, please shoot me an email!

Dana took a picture of Cassidy last week blowing bubbles, so I enlarged it and put it in a simple black frame:

I used Decorate a Daisy and A Round Array to cover up a portion of the photo that wasn’t really that pretty!

I believe she liked it!

And Cassidy made a “stained glass” vase for her mommy at the library craft time yesterday:

Happy Mother’s Day to all, just a wee bit early!

Seize the Birthday 16

DSCF4755

I feel like this is a repeat of yesterday’s post, with blue and yellow playing starring roles!  It is a cheerful color combo, but today’s cards feature the Seize the Birthday sketch:

This happens to be MY personal favorite go-to sketch of all time!  If I am in a hurry and need a card, you can bet this is the layout I’ll use!  A couple of coordinating DPs, a focal image, maybe some ribbon, and I’m good to go!  Today I broke out my new Garden Gingham paper along with a new set called Label Love, which will be in the upcoming catalog, as well as a retiring set, Decorate a Daisy:

While I was cutting my paper, I figured I might as well make two!  Same design, a few little changes to each one.  The first one uses Label Love with the coordinating punch, and I also diecut some banners to place behind it:

I love the vintage look of this stamp, as well as the country feel to the paper!! Makes me smile!

The next one uses Decorate a Daisy along with some ruffled ribbon, a large flower punch and a bit of embossing, as well as a Daffodil Delight mat on the front:

I also added a sentiment from Fabulous Phrases, and embellished it with some pearls!  What a great sketch, I love it!  Thanks for visiting today!

DSCF4722

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I really loved the Dynamic Duos challenge this week:

and I paired it with the sketch from Monday’s Technostamper Lunchtime Challenge:

for my card today:

I started with some October Afternoon Thrift Shop papers, and added a watercolored image from Fabulous Florets for my focal piece.  It was heat embossed on watercolor paper, then colored with reinkers in the challenge colors:

I added a little banner with a sentiment from Storybook Friends, and did a wee bit of stitching, since I already had my sewing machine out and threaded up!  I even made a custom envelope since this card is a tad larger than a standard-sized card.  I played around with my diagonal scoring plate until I got just the right size!  These colors just make me smile!!!

Since Cassidy was interested in my binoculars recently, I got her a little play pair over the weekend:

Queen for a Day

DSCF4663_thumb3

Happy rainy Wednesday, everyone!  Today’s card is for three challenges!!!  I have been dying to try the Pals Paper Arts color challenge:

PoolStarfruitLimeade

as well as this week’s Mojo Monday sketch:

and the City Crafter Challenge this week,  “royalty”!!

So here we go:

DSCF4661

I used a crown image (along with others) from the retiring Established Elegance, to complement the queen sentiment from the retired You’re A Gem:

DSCF4665_thumb1

I also added a little banner and button from this year’s SAB goodies:

DSCF4666_thumb

And did you notice all the stitching?  You will probably see MORE stitching because I finally got my craft room done and there is room for my sewing machine!  Woohoo! I went from this:

I still have some painting (see the above window frame)  and reorganizing to do, but I am so thrilled with the work my DH did….he did everything except painting the walls and making the curtain, both of which I managed to do!!!  I got new floors, new cabinets to hold my cardstock and supplies, new ribbon holders, a new ceiling fan and light,  and new countertops to replace my 7’ wooden trestle table.  I can sit at my computer and look out the window, and I can sew and have my ironing board all in the same room!!  It is so much easier to keep clean.  One of the things that helped me with my storage is transferring a lot of my wood-mount stamps to clear-mount!  I did clean out a few sets and will put them up for sale once the new catalog goes live!  Thanks for indulging me with these photos!
