Quick Little Pup for FMS467

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Ah, the weekend is finally here!  I have a very quick little card for the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches:

My card is not that "long"...I only made it 3"x 6" to use up some of the Plaid Tidings DSP I still have left!  But it does use the cute Hot Dog set that is in the current mini, so here we go:

This is an uber-simple card....the base is Pretty Peacock, I added the plaid layer, then stamped the dog on Cinnamon Cider cardstock, shaded him a bit with a Blend and fussy-cut him out.  I decided he needed a little snazzing up, so I stamped and fussy-cut his bow, then did the sentiment bubbles in Seaside Spray:

Isn't he a sweetie?  I always wanted a dachshund when I was a child, but it wasn't until I was grown that my sister got one and then my parents also got one!  I'm going to embarrass Dana by sharing a couple of  pictures of her and Roscoe, my sister's dog when Dana was just a toddler! Remember, this was before digital cameras and cell phones!

Anyone remember having a "Baby-tenda"?  This was mine and my siblings' and my Mom kept it for the grandkids as well!  Check out how shiny Dana's hair was:

Roscoe looks like he knows he could get a few crumbs from her!  And here we are, out in the yard on a summer afternoon, just playing in the clothes basket!!

Roscoe was a good dog, lots of fun and ornery!  He did get himself in a wee bit of trouble one day; he ate a tennis ball and had to have emergency surgery.  Silly pup!  Thanks for allowing me to walk down memory lane!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This is a cute card LeAnne - I love the rich brown against the plaid and the fun speech bubbles. Cute pictures of Roscoe and Dana too - I’m betting eating that tennis ball had to hurt though!

Love this sweet dachshund card. So cute. We had dachshunds when my daughter was little. In fact she got a puppy for her 6th birthday. They were best buddies.

I love your card and the design. My best childhood friend always had dachs. They are so much fun. Dana was a cutie and the cuteness turned into beautiful.

Cute dog card! Roscoe and Dana are cute too! Looks like a Baby-tender was the precursor to a walker! Thanks for sharing.

Love your card LeAnne. And yes, Mom had a Baby-tenda that my siblings and I all used. She passed it down to another relative before any of the grandkids came along! Hadn’t thought of that in a long time!

So cute! Just got the Hot Dog set and can't wait to play with it! I have never seen a baby tenda but it reminds me of a walker that my kids had! It's always fun taking a trip down memory lane! TFS

I love all things plaid! And I love dachshunds too. When I was a child a neighbor had one and she used to let my sisters and me walk the dog around our yard. She had the most beautiful brown eyes and she would let us hold her face in our hand and then gaze adoringly at us! LOL! What great memories!
