Hi peeps! It's Sunday, and time for a new Paper Players challenge! Joanne has a fun sketch for us today:
My 2-year-old great-nephew has a birthday coming up, and I probably used these diecuts for his brother's card last year, but I am sure he won't mind seeing them again!! Both boys are into trucks, tractors, backhoes, dump trucks...you name it, they love it! So here we go:
Each dump truck was cut from Smoky Slate, Basic Black and various bright colors, then assembled on a Whisper White mat that was embossed with a Diamond Plate embossing folder. I popped up the dump part of the truck with some dimensionals, and added some silver axles on the wheels, then used the retired Labeler Alphabet to make my sentiment:
If you're fortunate enough to have the retired 1/4" square punch that SU used to sell, it's a snap to punch out the letters and line them up on a piece of cardstock!! I put the whole thing on a John Deere green, I mean a Call Me Clover card base and added a simple birthday sentiment on the inside!
So of course, I have to share a picture of the little guy; here he is with his mom mom and his brother just before Christmas; she gets all the grandkids together to make cookies. This just makes my heart happy:
And here he is, in all his gingery sweetness....you know that sugar sprinkles make a great noise when you shake them, right?!
Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

So cute!
I love this dump truck card. I think I bought the die after seeing your card last year. Can you send me a link to the other card from last year. I looked on your list but couldn't figure out which one it might be. Thank you for your daily inspiration.
Aw, my heart has melted LeAnne! This brings back memories of when my lovely boys were tiny and loved all the trucks, tractors, bin lorries, tractors with back hoe excavator attachments (!) If mine were anything to go by, your great-nephew will be thrilled with your colourful card! I do love a red head too and I'm sure he'll break hearts with that cheeky smile! Vicky x
Ok, that birthday boy is adorable and so is his precious card. I love the array of dump trucks. All little boys love trucks and tractors, etc. This little truck die is sooooo fun! I need that for all my little boys! Your embossed background is perfect. YOU rocked this challenge, My Friend! XX
What an adorable card for a cutie patootie! What boy doesn't love a dump truck!!! A perfect card for this week's sketch!
Boys and trucks, they go together like peas and carrots. What a fun card, LeAnne! That die is fantastic and the trucks look fabulous against the embossed background. Such a happy and cute little guy, I hope he has a great birthday!
LeAnne, I love that these are such brightly colored trucks. I tend to stick with the "boy colors", forgetting that big trucks are actually many different colors. I love the embossed background and the simple sentiment. I bet he loved the card - I know I do!
