Paper Players 316 Bless Your Heart

Happy Sunday, peeps!  I hope all of  you in the southeastern part of the country are safe & sound! Sunday brings us another Paper Players challenge!  Sweet Sandy is our hostess with a seasonal color palette today:

I combined it with the sketch from Paper Craft Crew:

TWO WEEK - Paper Craft Crew Sketch 214! You are invited to play along with this weeks sketch. Open to ANY products. www.papercraftcrew.com

to make a thank you card for a fellow demonstrator who hosted a shoebox swap yesterday:

I originally had a Halloween card made for this, but decided to try to use the colors for a non-Halloween card!  I had Jars of Love on my desk, so I started stamping and die-cutting...I also used some elements from Touches of Texture.  I remembered my Paper Players teammate Nance saying that you can stamp off photopolymer stamps on a tissue, so I used that idea to stamp the background foliage so it wouldn't overpower the main foliage:

I stamped the smallest jar in Wild Wasabi and mounted it on a circle, both of which were stamped with the texture stamp from Touches of Texture, also stamped off.  I assembled everything on a  piece of Festive Birthday DSP and added a sentiment from Jars of Love and a wee bit of black and white Baker's twine:

I did add a couple of sequins, too....just for fun!  And I cannot stop using this sentiment from Basket of Wishes...it works for so many occasions:

I sure hope you'll play along with our challenge this week...and check out the fun creations the design team came up with:

Thanks for popping in today!

The "Grammy, I DO NOT want you to take my picture" face!

Hi LeAnne! I am going to be in PA for two weeks. My niece is getting married on the 15th. I will be in the area from Oct. 12th until the 26th. It sure would be nice to meet up if we can.
I love this card. I just made an order with my girl out here and I had the jars on the list but I just had to cut back a little. I do see a lot of wonderful things in the catalog. I may have to get it next month. I do love jars.
My 2 year old granddaughter gives me that face sometime when I ask for a kiss. She is living with me and her parents so they can save for a house. I really am enjoying having her here. Although I have not been home much this summer.
Hugs,
Linda

One day, when Cassidy gets married, I can see that photo appearing in the montage of life moments - it's classic!!! My, how she is growing up so fast.
Now.. onto your card. I love how your card made the colors look bright and cheerful. All of that wonderful white space allows the central image to shine. The ragged edges of the horizontal strip are genius as they allow your eye to wonder around the scene without coming to a blunt stop.... i hope that make sense! Anyway, gorgeous card, LeAnne.

Love, love, love this LeAnne - I chuckled when I saw we had used the same sketch this week - great minds and all that:-) This card has so much interest and detail and is a wonderful example of how these colours can be used for a non-Halloween inspired card. I especially like how you used the texture stamp to create such visual interest.
