I am trying to use up some of my retired DSPs---a never-ending job, really---and thought one of the scenes from Beautiful Gallery would fit the bill, so here we go:
I used a Rectangle Stitched die to cut out a portion of the design, then a Stitched Shapes to highlight another portion of it. My background paper is from a couple of years ago, it's a corduroy print from All About Autumn; I liked how it coordinated with the darker blues in the main panel. A simple sentiment from the retired set Occasional Quotes was stamped on a banner. My only other embellishments were some little dots placed in the corners. I did add a sympathy sentiment to the inside, because I like to have some on hand.
I hope you'll find some inspiration from my sketch this week and play along with us at the Players! While you're there, check out what the DT created and give them some love too! Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

LeAnne, that is such a lovely paper it would be a shame if it never saw the light of day. What a wonderful condolence card.
A really great sketch - you are as great creating them as you are playing with them!

Beautiful card, LeAnne! Love that your 2 different papers coordinated so well together. Great card for your sketch this week! TFS and let's hope this dreary weather moves on soon! I know we need the rain but it's alittle miserable especially for a holiday weekend.
LeAnne, I understand. I couldn't use all my paper if I created 10 plus cards a day til the end of time! LOL! This is gorgeous DSP! This card will bring comfort to it's recipient. Have a wonderful week, My Friend! Rainy here, too!
Wonderful sketch, wonderful paper and a wonderful card!
I love the dark colors. It gives the card so much depth. Your card is perfect for sympathy. It is calming and serene.
Pretty paper on your lovey card. Great sketch. I agree with Claire, I could never use all of my paper making 20 cards a day. :) I am going to share with my crafting friends and I know they will appreciate it. Happy Memorial Day.
Such a pretty sympathy card, LeAnne. I like to use soothing blues and greens for sympathy cards and I think the patterned paper you chose is perfect. Thanks for a great sketch and have a wonderful week!
The picture, with the moody watercolour look, and the dark colours create a serious mood just right for the sentiment. I like the way the circle spotlights and repeats the main scene. Thanks for the sketch - it's a beauty. :-)
Beautiful card and great sketch, LeAnne! The scene on the dsp is so peaceful, it's perfect for the greeting you chose.
OK so I love this sketch (I am using it for the third time in a week tomorrow!!) it really is so versatile. That rectangle is a lovely way to include a large scene and the circle to then spotlight the detail. And the colours and serene scene perfect for your sentiment too. Bravo on using up some paper too - I share your mission lol!
LeAnne, this is the perfect use of this sketch. The large scale background and the spotlight element work beautifully together. I really need to use more of my patterned paper stash! BTW, love this image with the sentiment, too

Wow! What a beautiful card, LeAnne! The paper and the sentiment give off such a calming, serene vibe. I love how you let the gorgeous paper take the lead. Your sketch is right up my alley and is one I will be using often. Thank you for an amazing challenge!
I love how you used the paper as the rectangle and a focus in the circle - so eye-catching!
