PP722 A Sketch from Joanne

Happy Sunday, all! This will be short & sweet as I am having my hostess appreciation party today! Love getting together with my stampers, and I don't think we'll have any SNOW to ruin it!

It's Joanne's turn to be the hostess at the Players this week and she has an awesome sketch:

I thought this would be a great sketch with which to use some of the new Timeless Plaid papers; here we go:

I used the retired Biggest Wish to stamp my sentiments, and a little lure from the Gone Fishing set was an accent.  I cut two sets of banners from Lost Lagoon and Basic White for a simple embellishment.

I needed a masculine birthday card for an older gentleman at church and I knows he likes to fish, so this is for him!  I hope you'll play along with our sketch this week, there are endless possibilities!  Check out what the DT created over at the Paper Players blog and be inspired!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

I am going to have to get those plaids LeAnne - they work so well for your masculine card! Great idea to add those fishing accents too. A big bold sentiment and great take on my sketch. Enjoy your hostess appreciation party today!

Great masculine card. I love the Timeless Plaid paper, especially the blues. The fishing lure is the perfect touch for a fisherman.

What a super masculine card! The plaid is great for it but it's the little things like the fussy cut happy and the lure balancing the bold sentiment that really make it special. Have a lovely week. Hope the party went well!

Oh, Leanne! You know how passionate I am about plaid. I LOVE these colors. The sentiment panel just blows me away, with its bold "birthday" and fussy-cut "happy". The lure is the perfect accent. Masculine cards do not get any better than this! Have a wonderful weekend!

Excellent card for my 3 sons-in-law!!! I have everything but the cute fishhook (non of them fish anyway). I'll be casing you! Thanks for the inspiration! Huggs from slightly-warmer Florida!
