A Trio of Sympathy Cards

Happy Monday, peeps!  I once again found myself in need of sympathy cards....three, again! Two were for older men, so they were simple and masculine in design.  The first one used a cabin image from Stampscapes, stamped in Stazon Black on Shimmery White cardstock and watercolored, then mounted on a piece of In Good Taste DSP:

The sentiment is from Hero Arts:

The second one seems a little odd for a sympathy card, but it was for a local farmer; he and his family own what it called a "Century Farm"....which means it has been in the family for at least 100 years.  I sang in the choir with his wife for many years!  I thought the DSP I used would bring them a smile:

Similar layout and I used the same sentiment; the papers are from Echo Park's Down on the Farm, and the stitched panel was also stamped with a retired Flannel Plaid background stamp from SU and embellished with some burlap trim:

Here's what I stamped on the inside, a verse from Cornish Heritage Farms:

Finally, one for a church family's mother; it uses the color scheme from the TGIF Challenge:

I do admit these colors threw me a bit...Petal Pink is always a challenge for me.  I stamped the flowers from All Things Fabulous and diecut them with the matching Fabulous Floral dies.  I placed them on a diecut frame cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies, added some "splashes" from Gorgeous Grunge (ret), and a sentiment from Here's a Card:

I added some sequins; even a sympathy card can use a little bling:

Thanks so much for popping in today!

Have you ever seen a dog sleep like this?  She must have had a cold snout!

Funny pup!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand." Isaiah 41:10

My favorite is the firsts card. I love the cabin image and would want to be there with a fire going and snow falling. Eden is so funny!

Love all 3 of your sympathy cards, LeAnne. I'm sorry that you needed 3 but I will say that I love that you personalized each one to the families. Sympathy cards can sometimes be hard to create but I think you did beautifully on these.
Hope your staying warm...more of the four letter word is to come this week.

All 3 cards are special for each individual and those farm papers are perfect for a farmer! Loving the serenity of the cabin by the lake and the petal pink card is equally lovely. As for your dog, I can relate. Lately I've had the covers pulled over my face to keep my nose warm as it's always icy cold! LOL

All perfect for the task in hand - sympathy cards are never easy. I like that the last one uses these colours for a non-Valentine's card.
