Happy Friday, peeps! It's supposed to feel a little more seasonal this weekend, after our warm Halloween, so I thought I'd share a couple cards I made recently with the beautiful Toile Tidings DSP. The first one uses the Winter Woods tree and a sentiment from the hostess set, Greatest Part of Christmas:
I covered the DSP with a layer of vellum; it still allows those wonderful woodland creatures to be seen, but it also allows the tree to stand out! I diecut the sentiment with a Stitched Nested Label die and cut off the left side. After adhering the diecut tree, I sprinkled it with the new Ice Glitter...a lovely effect!
I used the same pattern for my second card, but left the vellum off. Instead, I used my Stamparatus to stamp this beautiful large sentiment at the bottom in Shaded Spruce, then left the DSP in the same position, cleaned my stamp off and stamped again with Versamark ink. I then heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder...wow, it really popped!
It looked a little plain, so I stamped some of the pine boughs, diecut them and adhered them to the flourish of the "C" with a linen thread bow...I like the rustic look, although I think I should have stamped them in Garden Green!! Still pretty though!
And on the inside, another sentiment from Greatest Part of Christmas (what an awesome set this is!) along with a few more pine sprigs:
Trick or treat was questionable with the weather, but the rain held off...my only visitors were Lee and Jackie, whom I hardly ever see any more since their mom drives their school bus! They've grown!!
Ginger and Eden were ready to go in their skeleton suits!
Not too clear a picture, but here is Cassidy...she was ready to go too!
It was so warm, Wayne was in his shirt sleeves....and I saw some places out west had SNOW!! Not quite ready for that yet! Thanks for popping in today!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

These are lovely LeAnne, especially the first one. I don’t have that tree though so might have to adapt with something else from my stash! These would be great for some quick cards when time is of the essence!
OMGosh, these Christmas cards are beautiful, LeAnne! I love how you used the vellum on the 1st card. It really softens it and allows the tree to stand out! The 2nd card was another WOW card with how you did the embossing! The Stamparatus is a wonderful tool! Trick or Treat last night was rescheduled until tonight for us. Those winds sure were crazy and it definitely was warm! Eventually the thunderstorms came and it dumped some very heavy rains. Now it's much colder and I hope the snow stays away for awhile yet! All your trick or treaters looked marvelous in the their costumes!
GORGEOUS toile, fabulous cards [love the perfect slip of vellum!] and - ready or not, here it comes, my friend!! Though I'm happy to report none of the unseasonal droppings stuck!
So happy that Cassidy didn't have to cover up that wonderful costume with a coat!
=]
True confessions: I am not in love with toile.......But I adore these cards and am so going to case them for some holiday cards! The vellum is a great idea,!
Oh golly are these ever PRETTY!! So glad Cassidy had good weather to trick or treat. I felt so bad for the kids in our neighborhood last weekend, it rained all night :(
