Christmas Twin Spin

I have a beautiful K&Co Christmas paper mat pack; the designs are so pretty, I never know which side to use!  So today, I decided to use both sides of one piece to make two cards!  My CTD buddy Barbara  had a Crazy 4 Challenges post on her blog yesterday to CASE any one of the C4C design team----so I chose her!  You can see her CAS card here, and these are the cards I made copying her CAS style:

This first one I am not so crazy about….I don’t like my ribbon treatment, but you know how you’ve spent SO much time on it, you don’t want to give up on it?  Anyway, I received this wonderful ribbon from Kelley and was determined to make it work!  Sentiment is from Flourishes.

The next one is more pleasing to me; it uses a wide ribbon too, but I glued on the bow!!!  The colors are nice & country, too:

I added a quick little piece of lace (I hope that doesn’t disqualify it as being CAS!) and a retired sentiment from SU.

Thanks for visiting today---now I am off to rest, relax and put up my feet – it was a busy Sunday at church!

Love how you did the striped ribbon with the rhinestone brad, and that red DP with the lace on the second is a fantastic combo. GORGEOUS Christmas cards, LeAnne!....and kuddos to you for sticking to your Christmas card plan (I'm bowing my head in shame for not keeping up with mine).

You DON'T like your ribbon treatment on the first card? That is my favorite thing about it {watch for a card featuring this soon}
I love that these cards feature paper so heavily, it reminds me that I could use some great paper in the right way and get a lot of Christmas cards done.

Do you know what I said to myself when I saw the first card? "Oooh, I love that ribbon treatment!" Then I read your words and chuckled. Sometimes we get a little too "close" to our work to be objective, LOL! Seriously, this is so lovely. They both are - thanks for all of your continuing inspiration!!

Agreed, great use of wide ribbon!! And the rhinestone brad drew my eye down to the sentiment naturally. Nice work!
