Sorry I am MIA

I am so sorry that I have been missing in action! It has been a very busy week, and there isn't much of a let up until after Easter. I still don't have a camera, so I am pulling cards from my photo "stash" to post. A couple people let me know they were missing reading my blog, so I thought I'd better get back to it!
These two cards are from the cute SU set, "Crab & Company". The diorama card was based on a post from SCS here. While it is a little time-consuming, the finished result will really WOW your recipient! They'll know they are VERY special when they get this card. When it folds up, it fits a standard envelope, too. Just make sure you use Sticky Strip to adhere the layers, so it doesn't fall apart!! The images are stamped in black Stazon and colored with an aquapainter & inkpads.

The filmstrip card is just the little clam image stamped three times and mounted on a strip of black cardstock which has been punched with the SU spiral punch. This is a cute fun card that is a snap to make and looks impressive!
I don't have the exact recipes for these cards as they have long been sent out! But all products are SU. I just got a new SU order yesterday, haven't even had a chance to play yet, but hopefully I'll get some NEW NEW things on over the weekend!

I Love My Downline!

Before my camera was stolen, I had made cards for the top four sellers in my downline. They are all such a great bunch of girls...and our Wee-Inker group is growing!! I photographed a sample but didn't want to post it yet.....so they would be surprised. Hopefully, they've received them, and I'm going to take a chance and post it today.
This sample uses several sets, but I think they tie together pretty well. It also uses Western Sky DP, which coordinates beautifully with Wanted. I stamped on the twill with craft ink, but I have used classic ink with no problem. The rest is pretty self-explanatory, so enjoy!
Stamps: All About U, Wanted, Happy Everything, So Many Scallops, Dotted Line Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Western Sky DP, Blue Bayou, Ruby Red, Soft Sky
Ink: Ruby Red Craft & Classic, Soft Sky, White Craft
Acc: Twill, Scallop Punch, Round Punches, Vintage Brads

Oldie but Goodie

Here is a card I made shortly after SU's scallop punch came out. It was posted on SCS, so you might have already seen it. I had been playing around with the punch and some DP, and the pieces sitting on my desk reminded me of scoops of ice cream. So I made some cone-shaped triangles from Creamy Caramel cs, stamped them with Canvas, sponged the edges, and added some words. I added lots of Dazzling Diamond "sprinkles" and my ice cream cones were done! The background is a retired wheel called Hot to Dot! If I were to do this again today, I think I would have changed the background cs (which I think is Wild Wasabi) to something a little brighter. Hope you enjoy this oldie but goodie from my archives!

MIA

Hi everyone! I won't be posting anything new for a while; I had my camera stolen today. I will try to post some older cards once I get my head back on straight! Thanks for your patience.

Dahlia Card Directions

Someone commented that they would like directions for Georgette's card below, which is a Dahlia fold, not Azalea! Duh! Anyway, the directions can be found on Splitcoast Stampers here. Enjoy!

A Beautiful Thanks

Isn't this card pretty? My friend Georgette sent me this card and ALL THESE GOODIES!! Aren't I lucky! I helped her out just a tiny bit and this is what she sent me! She knew I didn't have any cute Easter stamps, so she stocked me up--and even included some little acrylic blocks, as well as the directions for this beautiful azalea card!! I can't wait to play with them. I have been busy and haven't had time to stamp anything--well, something, but I can't post it yet. (It is the congrats cards I sent to my top four sellers in my downline.) So when I am sure they've gotten them, I'll post it! Georgette gave me permission to post her card--it's her first card ever on a blog! Thanks again, Georgette! XOXOXO!
Edited to add: The fold is called a DAHLIA fold (not azalea) and the directions can be found at SCS here. Sorry!

You Can Do It

This card is a get-well card for a sweet lady in my church who just had BOTH knees replaced! God bless her! The challenge today at SCS was to only use one flower on your card. I was looking at the gallery and came across this
gorgeous card, so I shamelessly used her idea with my flower. Thanks, Imastampin! I used the large flower from the level 3 hostess set, Time Well Spent, and embossed it in white on cardstock vellum. I then colored in the flower on the back with markers. You can see I went out of the lines a little, oh well! I mounted it on Blush Blossom cardstock, a color I NEVER use! This card is 4 1/4" square, by the way. I then used my craft blade to cut through both layers and threaded through some Mellow Moss gingham ribbon. I used a My Favorite Things sentiment, added a little tiny rhinestone to the center of the flower. I mounted everything on my Mellow Moss card, and it is done! Off to work today! Thanks for looking!
