PP774 Sketch from Jan

Happy Sunday, all!  It's Jan's turn to be our Paper Players hostess and she has a sketch for us! Boy, I love a good sketch, and this one definitely fits the bill:

I haven't done a vintage-style card for a while, so I searched through some of my papers and found this pretty paper pad from Kaiser Kraft called Pen & Ink.  So here we go:

All these papers except for the Basic Gray panel, including the sentiment, come from the Pen & Ink pad.  The butterflies are embossed, so there's some pretty shine to that panel!  I added some embossed stitching to the gray panel as well as some Black & Vanilla gingham ribbon:

I did something a little different by adding another piece of paper from the same pad to the inside; the sentiment is an old Waltzingmouse stamp, and I added some subtle stamping with a Tim Holtz butterfly stamp:

This is such a great sketch--I am sure I'll be using it again! I hope you'll check out what the design team did with it as well, over at the Paper Players blog!  And we hope you'll share your creation with us as well!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Such gorgeous butterflies, LeAnne - and that script! Of course, you know I love the addition of that grey - and I see our favorite stitching, too! Why don't we use dsp on the inside of our cards? This is such a great idea especially for stamped sentiments! Really wonderful...

You really are so good at vintage LeAnne! This mix of papers makes for a lovely monochromatic card and the hint of gingham ribbon too is just lovely. A great card!

How fabulous! I love that vintage look - and butterflies and copperplate script are among my favourites. This is just a delicious design! I've got a soft spot for KaiserKraft products and I do have a little stash of them too. :-)

Love that you added decorations to the inside of your card too; I very rarely think to do that, but my husband checks the inside of the card every single time he looks at one I've made, ha! I love the scripty elements to the butterfly panel and the background pattern, and that wonderful stitched accent on the horizontal panel. So pretty!

LeAnne, you never cease to amaze me with your ability to change between vintage, clean and simple, layered and everything in between. You make it look so effortless and this card is another perfect example of that. I love the gingham, the script-y background and your vintage butterflies.
