Happy Friday, all! It's time for a new challenge from As You See It, and it's the exciting SPEED challenge, LOL! This month, we're looking for purple!!!
The trick here is to assemble all your supplies, as well as the idea in your head, and make your card in ten minutes or less---and tell us how long it DID take you! Here's my card, coming in at 9 minutes and 30 seconds:
Truthfully, I had to go back and reglue a couple pieces so I was really over the ten minute mark, but it was assembled in less than! I created my window with the Everyday Arches dies and some Gorgeous Grape cardstock, then added the Perennial Lavender "scene" behind it! The strips were diecut with a strip die from Taylored Expressions, and the sentiment is from W+9's Spring Blessings:
I think the Crumb Cake background is a little plain but didn't have enough time to do anything fancy with it...maybe I could do another with some embossing or stamping? At any rate, purple is not one of my go-to colors, so I am proud of myself for actually using it!!!
There are any number of ways you could go with this challenge....there are all sorts of shades and hues ot purple, from light to dark! We hope you will choose at least one and play along with us at As You See It! Remember to time yourself and share your time with us as well! See you there! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Oh, my goodness - your lavender is so artsy and gorgeous, LeAnne! Such a brilliant idea for a quick card.

I love Gorgeous Grape and that view of the flowers is so pretty! It doesn't look like a quick card!
Don't the purples go so well with Crumb Cake? And my word, you were very ambitious in your design for a speed challenge - and you pulled it off perfectly! Well done! :-)
This is so pretty, LeAnne! I really like the window you created and that beautiful lavender paper shining thru! I adore that paper and all the purple you used on this! Great job on the challenge!! Hope you enjoyed your Saturday! The sun was lovely!
This is a lovely look at Spring!
I so almost used this paper on my card too - I love DSP for a speed challenge! I'm glad I didn't though - my card would not have looked this good!! That purple window frame is so bold and eye-catching LeAnne and I love that sentiment font - swoonworthy for sure!
This is a genius idea for a speed challenge, LeAnne! I love the use of the DSP behind the window frame! It looks so good!
So much work in that card - amazing to pull it off within the 10 minutes! Love the window scene effect
You had me at the paper with your card sample. One of my favourites, and I bought a lot of it. Great way to incorporate a window using the Arch Dies. For anyone that has the old Well Suited Stampin' Up! set they could use the button placket stitched die to make the cross bars.
