Happy Sunday, stamping friends! This week is the first week back for the Paper Players, and I am the hostess with a lovely wintery color challenge for you! You could use this for a Christmas card, as I did, but I think the colors would be good for a masculine card as well, especially since there are some new "gear" stamps and dies in the new mini catalog! Here we go:
As I said, I chose to make a Christmas card with a relatively new-to-me die from Spellbinders called Barn Star! Here we go:
The star was diecut from Misty Moonlight cardstock, and I added a Night of Navy bow and silver glimmer accents. I also added a white glimmer oval underneath, and mounted it all on a panel of Basic White, embossed with a Spellbinder's embossing folder called Scattered Christmas. I used the sketch from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, but sadly missed the deadline.
My sentiment banner is from The Greetery; the inside sentiment is from Peaceful Season, both stamped in Night of Navy ink:

I love anything with stars and that die cut is gorgeous...so I'm going to blame you when I buy it ; ) I love the silver accents and the bow on top of your star and that embossed background is a lovely bit of texture without taking away from the stunning star. What a beautiful card LeAnne - I love the subtle festive embossed background and the sparkle from that silver glimmer foliage is the perfect way to dress up your star. Such a great colour combo for Christmas cards - the one you sent me used it too (so pretty btw - thank you).
I bought that die set yesterday (and maybe another one so it wouldn't get lonely in the mail). If my hubs says anything, I will absolutely blame you ; )
LeAnne, I love this die and you have showcased it beautifully. I love it with these colors, too! The textured background with the touch of shimmer from the glitter paper is the perfect finishing touch.
