PP727 Spring Flowers

Happy Sunday, everyone! Time for a new Paper Players challenge, and Claire is our lovely hostess this week with a very timely challenge for us:

I just got a new set called You Are Remarkable (available in a couple of days as an Online Exclusive) and I just love it!  I made a little pocket card with it:

I got my inspiration from the Inspired By prompt, and I did some stenciling as well for the JUGS challenge:

I first created my card base with a background piece of Pistachio Pudding cardstock on which I stenciled a floral pattern with the retired Butterflies & Flowers masks.  The pocket is a piece of 4"x4" gingham paper that was cut in half diagonally, each piece was adhered with Sticky Strip.  I did want to add a little border, so before adhering, I trimmed off 1/8" from each panel and used the pieces as an embellishment on either side of the panel.  The border is Lemon Lolly, diecut with the Be Mine Stitched dies.

This stamp is a two-step stamp, so I stamped my floral outline image in Smoky Slate on an Everyday Arches diecut, then added the details with Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight inks:

It stamps beautifully! I love it!

My final addition was the sentiment from the same set,  also stamped on an Everyday Arches diecut. Some pearls and a bit of Lemon Lolly baker's twine finished it off!

I know I will be giving this set lots of attention, as there are more sweet sentiments in it to play with!  And I hope you'll play with our challenge this week...it's been a dreary winter and we all can use some pretty spring flowers in our lives!  Share your creation with us at the Paper Players and check out the other spring flower designs as well!

LeAnne, this is so lovely! What a sweet little daisy! Thanks for sharing that closeup - I just love seeing the lines SU adds to their stamps! Now why do I look at that cross-over and think of aprons? ahhh it's Mrs. Hall's apron on All Creatures Great and Small! I'd bet you watch it, too!

I just love this card design! So much so, that I dropped everything to make a similar card. I'm obsessed with making Pocket Cards these day. Thanks for the inspiration!

What an absolute sweetheart of a card! I do like a pocket card and the way you've used the arch dies to create the card, then echoed it in the sentiment is so very pretty. I like the stencilled background too - stylish indeed!

Beautiful card, Leanne! Perfect for so many occasions! I really like this daisy stamp so it'll be going on my wish list. The daisy looks like it's dancing. Ha! Your colors of Pistachio Pudding (my favorite-ever SU green!) & Lemon Lolly are soooo pretty together! And nothing beats a checked DSP! I wish SU would bring back Pistachio as well as Crisp Cantaloupe that was released at the same time (In Color 2013-15).
Have a wonderful week! Huggs

Beautiful, LeAnne! You have just caused me to add this set to my list. I love how you stamped the image and the sentiment onto the Everyday Arches die cuts. The daisy worked very well for this pocket card layout. Of course, the gingham paper is absolutely perfect for this sweet card. Have a wonderful week!

LeAnne this is just beautiful - it definitely makes me feel I overlooked this set! I love the pocket card with the combination of stencilling and gingham in the pale green and that daisy makes for such a pretty insert. I am loving those arches too - they are so useful aren't they? I might just have a go at a pocket card too!!
