Happy Wednesday, peeps! We are off on a little road trip to the Turkey Hill Experience today! Hopefully it will be interesting enough to keep Cassidy and Lee entertained! Turkey Hill makes really good ice cream (and iced tea, but I make my own iced tea, so I never drink theirs!) and they have an interactive attraction where you can see how the ice cream is made, taste different flavors, and create your own flavor! I am all about that! But I also have a Christmas card for you today as well! This is for the CAS August Christmas challenge (glitter) as well as the CAS Colours and Sketches sketch:
I got this big, bold SU stamp set a few years back at a yard sale and I don't even know the name of it; it wasn't in its box, so if anyone knows, let me know! It was perfect to stamp in Versamark, heat emboss with some Heat & Stick powder, then apply some Martha Stewart glitter and reheat:
I was a little disappointed with the coverage of the glitter; my Heat & Stick powder is probably ten years old, and I did get a new container of it before SU retired it, so maybe it's just tired, LOL! Anyway, I fussy-cut them out and mounted them on a white panel, matted it with Red Glimmer paper and then adhered it to a white card that was embossed with a holly embossing folder:
And the sketch allowed me to use a new upcoming set for the sentiment, Itty Bitty Christmas! I love this set, lots of small cute Christmas sentiments! I used Garden Green to stamp it and diecut it with a Stitched Rectangle die:
A quick sentiment for the inside (forgot to photo it) and it's done! Thanks for popping in!
We took a meal and a gift to our friend from church who had her little girl on my birthday. Cassidy was happy to pose with Cora! (Notice how she smiles for everyone but ME, LOL!)
Truthfully, she had just as much fun playing with Cora's big brother and two boy cousins...she's going to be a good babysitter some day! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Wow those glittery berries really pop against the white LeAnne - I love the texture of the glitter and the embossing, whilst still maintaining a lovely CAS feel to your Christmas card. Little Cora is adorable - and Cassidy sure looks like she’s in her element too! Enjoy your ice creams today!
I have two containers of heat and stick and don't remember why I bought them. Thanks for reminding me. I love the boldness of the image against the dry embossing. Pretty Christmas card. Sounds like a fun outing with the kiddos Let us know what flavors y'all made. Cassidy has a beautiful smile that lights up a room and little Cora has a smile too that melts your heart. Yes, Cassidy, will be a great babysitter in the not-to-far-off future!
This is such a pretty card, LeAnne! I love how the EF coordinates so well with the die cut. I think the glitter looks great, especially with the tiny peek of red glitter paper too. Great Christmas card!
Oh quelle jolie carte LeAnne, j'adore, biz
Pretty card--love the glitter!
Happy belated birthday!
I sure would enjoy going to Turkey Hill!
What beautiful bold holly, LeAnne! I love all the sparkle and the holly embossed background! Little Cora looks quite happy with Cassidy! She's going to be a terrific babysitter! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Christmas!
Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and
gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the
shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside
and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely
off topic but I had to tell someone!
I like all of the sparkle surrounded by the crisp frosty white! Pretty card LeAnne and two darling little girls!
This is so pretty! I love how it sparkles and how the holly mirrors the background embossing. Thanks for joining us this week at CC&S!
Really pretty card, LeAnne! I love the look of the holly done in the glitter! So much sparkle! Your embossed background is just as pretty! Love the embossing folder you used! Well done on the challenges!
Had I known you were going to Columbia to the Turkey Hill Experience I would have met you there!!! It's almost in my backyard! LOL Stay away from drinking their ice tea....that is what caused Shawn years of Kidney Stones and that is well documented with doctors in the area! Their ice cream is the best!
Beautiful LeAnne, I love the crisp red and green glitter against your white embossed background. Thanks for joining us at CAS Christmas challenge :)
Beautiful card! Love the glitter and the embossed background! Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!
