So....did I get your attention with my catchy title?! Sometimes my ideas work out, and sometime they don't! I needed a sympathy card for a dear friend from church; he and his wife rescue cats and so I thought I would make a card for him using the stamp set Sitting Here, which I HAD to have and have rarely used! I thought the Fab Friday sketch was nice:
I didn't really feel like coloring in the image, so I thought I'd do a monochromatic color scheme, using some Urban Underground DSP and Delightful Dijon and So Saffron inks:
I stamped the pillow on the same DSP, stamped the cat and colored it with a blender pen, then fussy-cut it out, and added some ribbon and cardstock banners as well as a little twine bow. The issue came about when I adhered the cat with a dimensional:
I always use dimensionals to adhere things that I want to stand out...however, in this case, my cat now looks like it is floating above the bench cushion. Sigh....I left it there, although it makes me giggle a little. Perhaps they won't notice the floating cat and will just enjoy the encouraging note I put inside!
A little photo, pre-demolition! Her class was having a concert and she chose this dress to wear!
Enjoy your day--be blessed! Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Stamp Ink Paper challenge!

Love everything about the card, including the levitation...lol. Cassidy is wearing night of navy, mint macaron and melon mambo :-)
You did a good job with this LeAnne, I, too, had to have this set and have not used it...I will now..maybe today...really like what you did with it..You be blessed as well.
Yes, your title definitely had me curious. I thought maybe the renovation had gotten to you! But it turned out to be a swinging cat and a cute one at that! The color combo is great, I'll miss Delightful Dijon, and that cat reminds me of one I had long ago!
LeAnne this 'floating' cat couldn't be cuter! nor could the shoes with the dress!!! xx

Super cute - and I love the mono color scheme - so dramatic! Perfect accompanying details! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
I think he is just being lifted by the motion of the swing!! He looks darling lounging in the swing. Your friends with love this! Cute dress and snappy little shoes to boot!!
Very cute! Love the monochromatic color scheme, great design (I actually like the floating cat!!). Thanks for joining us at Fab Friday, hope to see you again soon!
Love this LeAnne - great use of this set! The floating car made me chuckle though! Lovely monochromatic card too and great colour for the cat! Love Cassidy's cute concert outfit too.
Hi LeAnne!
I really think you needed to "float" the cat to make him stand out. I love the monochromatic look, I think it adds serenity to a sympathy card. A beautiful design using our sketch.
Just had to say your sweet comment made my day!
What a great choice to keep the whole card monochromatic! I would have thought it would be too much DD but it is perfect with the different patterns and intensity of ink. And cats are totally magic in their own way so the fact that this one floats is completely normal! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
