Happy Wednesday, everyone! I am still making Valentines! The Retro Rubber challenge this week is to “remake” a Valentine!
This is the Valentine I am recreating; it was from February of 2013:
I used the same sketch but went with some deeper, richer colors. What do you think:
These designer papers are from My Mind’s Eye Heirloom line; the stamps are from PS: I Love You (retired SU); the cardstock is Naturals White, Cherry Cobbler and Strawberry Slush. I embossed the white scallop with the retired Adorning Accents embossing folder and added a little organdy flower that I very lightly brushed with some pink ink:
The sentiment flag is the same pattern as the vertical panel, and it’s stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. Such pretty patterns! Thanks for visiting today!

This looks like a fun challenge. I like both version of your Valentine card. I love the soft pastels of the "old" one and the richness of the "new" one. I do love all the extra hearts - in the paper and the embossed ones - of the "new" card.
It's great to see that Cassidy is enjoying her gymnastics.

What do I think? I think it's fabulous! I like the deep reds on the second one but your original is very feminine! The heart die with all of the tiny hearts is adorable!
Both cards are beautiful. Love the soft colors in the first one and also the deep, rich colors in the second one. Great job on both.
Cute Valentines and I have one more I need to stamp too. I can't believe Cassidy is in Gymnastics already. She was just a baby yesterday. LOL!
