ColourQ 195

DSCF5974

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Wow, what a roller-coaster day we had yesterday, weather-wise!  One minute it was hot and sunny, the next minute it was thundering and pouring rain!  Great day to do some stamping!  Arielle’s ColourQ challenge is a unique one this week:

What a cool image!  I paled when I saw Orchid Opulence, though….that color strikes fear and trepidation in my heart!  But I pushed through my fear, got out Summer Silhouettes and went to work:

I had to admit that once I was done, I liked how the colors went together so nicely!  I used some SU washi tape from the Epic Day This & That line, and my flower is from some of last year’s Patio Party DP.  I did use some of the new brads; they are VERY cool!  Two I used just the top part; the flower center used the brad and the top! The sentiment is also from a new set, Six-Sided Sampler!    My sketch is the Retrosketches #69:

Hope you will play along with these fun colors and cool inspiration!  You can see the other a-MA-zing creations that the CQC designers came up with at the ColourQ blog!  Share yours with us too!

Cassidy told me she wanted to run down our hill!  Off she went:

Hey LeAnne, beautiful card but I need to know where you store all those discontinued ink pads? Really now who can keep all that stuff? LOL!

WOW! I love how you combined the colors to create such a fabulous floral scene! Orchid Opulence is also one of those "scary" colors to me but you used it beautifully here. The washi tape is the perfect touch, too. :)

Wow, LeAnne! You have made these colors look absolutely beautiful together! Any purple strikes fear into my heart, so I can understand your fear of this purple. LOVE this card!

Wonderful card, LeAnne, I am like you where Orchid Opulence is concerned, but you did a great job with the color! When we had some of these retired colors, I never liked or used them, but this color works well with the new ones! Maybe that is what was missing! Have a fabulous Wednesday, hope your weather is better, those storms are always frightening. Cassidy is as cute as ever!
