Paper Players #25

DSCF8093

This week’s challenge at the Paper Players is a sketch by Nance:

Nance's November 21 Sketch

I did a non-Christmas card today, in a color I rarely go to:  green!

I thought this was a lovely sketch with lots of possibilities!  I use elements from Friends 24-7, Vintage Vogue and Style Beautiful (the scallops) shades of Wild Wasabi, Garden Green and Chocolate Chip.  The DP, which was embossed with the Square Lattice EF is called Woodland Walk; I did some distressing on it to give it a “shabby chic” look.  Finally, I added some Victoria Crochet Trim, a little twine loop, a Vintage brad, and a little button and pearl embellishment.

You should definitely try out this sketch and post your creation over at the Paper Players! They’d love to have you!  Thanks for looking today!

Oh, and I had a great time stamping with some friends yesterday---I’ll post some pictures in the days to come!!!

Now here’s a little shot of a sleepy baby just waking up:

LeAnne, this is gorgeous! I love the embellishments you added for the vintage-feel. That brad looks fabulous on the stamped image and the little pearl in the button is perfection! :)

Simply gorgeous LeAnne! Love all the lace - Have you ever made a green card - lol?

Hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving... can the baby eat mashed potatoes? For Alex's 1st T'day we gave him a jar of sweet potatoes and strained turkey - yum!

LeAnne, fabulous card. The elements from the different sets come together so beautifully and I love the fact that you kept the top clean and simple to showcase the lower elements. Just gorgeous
Happy Thanksgiving, my friend
