Happy Harvest

DSCF0043

I have been wanting to do one of these “stair step” cards for a while, so I pulled out Autumn Harvest and stamped the pumpkins and gourds on various fall shades of cardstock.  I really was just sort of playing around, so I will admit that some of the pumpkins are shaded, well…..not so good!  But you know how it is, once you start and have put all the time into it, you hate to chuck it!

I have to admit, these are a challenge to photograph!  And I really didn’t want to make it Halloween-y, but that pumpkin in the middle just looked lost, so I ended up making him into a jack-o-lantern!  Here’s another side view:

Hi LeAnn, You did a really wonderful job creating this "step card". I too am not into all the Halloween themes, but happy Jack O'Lanterns are my one weakness this time of year. They can be very cheerful if done right and your card certainly gives a cheerful feeling. Fab card and I would love the measurements when you have the time...It is an original!

Love and Blessings, Martha Gunckel

Holy cow - this is just the cutest step card EVER!!! You're so talented... BTW, I think you should end every post with a new picture of Cassidy - she's such a little angel!

Oh I love it. Did you see the one I did for Thanksgiving and the other one for a friends birthday? I am totally hooked on these step cards. They make such a nice decoration.
I will have to do a Halloween one next. Great card I love the leaves.

How cool is this? What a great card! All the dimension, looks like a fun one to do and the coloring looks just fine! Don't even mention throwing it away for such a minor offense!

I've never made one of these either but I so want to. I LOOOVE the set you picked....it's one of my favorite SU sets...one that hasn't seen ink in a LONG time, btw. Your coloring/shading looks awesome.

Have a great weekend! :)

LeAnn, this card is so beautiful, I would love to try it. Can you please email or post the directions? I have not done any "step" cards, yet, and this would be a great one to try with the season so close. I love the card. Thank you for sharing.
