Today at Always Playing with Paper, Corie has challenged us to make something in the vintage style! Right up my alley!
I happened to need a couple of birthday cards, and one of the recipients LOVES purple, so I thought it would be a good time to pull out my Concord Crush cardstock. It is a new In Color this year, and is quite intense! I don’t have any ink yet, so I just used Elegant Eggplant and a new Hostess set (which I LOVE) called Punch Potpourri. What a great set for only a Level 1 party! So let me hush and show you the card:
I used three of the images from the set, and they all were easily punched out using SU punches!! The embossed heart is SU’s Scalloped Heart of Hearts embosslit done in Perfect Plum. The DP is Elegant Soiree, and the card base is Concord Crush. Aren’t the crocheted lace and Antique brad just yummy? And can you see the pearls on the bird and flower? MORE new SU stuff!! So much fun to play with! I also used the Fall to Layout sketch #100, even though I don’t think this would really be considered CAS!!!
And here’s a shot of the inside:
So hop on over to the Always Playing with Paper blog and show us your stuff! We’ve got a new Guest Paper Player this month, and I am SO excited! This creative genius always continues to amaze me with her wonderful style and unique ways to use images and products…the terrific Ann Schach from The Stampin’ Schach!!! And Marlene Peters from Hands On is staying on another month---woohoo! So happy to have her stamping with us too! She brings a fresh perspective to stamping as well! So what are you waiting for? Get creative!!! And thanks for visiting today!

Wow, that's stunning, LeAnne! I love the cluster of hearts and flowers, and that lace border punch is such a great accent. Beautifully done, girl. :)

Oh tomorrow you can see that card I made, before I saw yours, and I think it looks like yours.
I don't have this set yet but your card sure makes me want it! So beautiful all your little layered focal points! And of course love that dsp. Looks like you had fun getting back to stamping!
