Happy Thursday, peeps! I was so excited to see a lily of the valley stamp in the upcoming SU catalog! I remember a row of them growing along my grandmother's house in the spring and they smelled SO good. I even wore a lily of the valley perfume in high school called Muguet de Bois - I just looked it up online and it goes for $50 on ebay! YIKES! You can be sure I didn't spend that back in 1970!!! Anyway, I'll just imagine the smell as I share a couple of cards I created with this new set along with a new In Color called Peaceful Pine, which is a lovely green, and Fresh Freesia. Here we go:
My first one uses the smaller floral image, stamped in the Peaceful Pine, and lightly watercolored with Fresh Freesia ink. I then die cut it and mounted on an Everyday Arches diecut with a Peaceful Pine mat. The background was embossed with the Eyelet embossing folder; I added some pearls and white ribbon trim. The sentiment is from the same set.

I adore Lilies of the Valley, LeAnne! It was my mom's favorite perfume, and we had quite a big patch of those darling 'bells' in the garden at my childhood home!
Your card is so very lovely! How fun to see your own area in a movie and to know someone in the film. That must be an enormous church to hold 12,000 people!

I, too, had that perfume. I also had Carnation perfume in a hobnail bottle. I was thrilled to see this bundle in the catty and it's on its way to me once it gets out of picking (which seems to be forever these days). How exciting about George. I think he had a relationship with the Wesleys too. I'll have to check out that movie. Have a blessed day.
Love everything about this card! I have been seeing that "arch" die a lot. We love visiting Sight & Sound!
Both your cards are beautiful and I love that color combination. I love your sweet memories of Lily of the Valley. My great grandmother had Sweet Williams growing along the path to her house...LOVE! And that is so cool about the movie! I'll be sure to check it out.
I see you received the bundle & have created with it already!! Lovely cards! I think the little touch of Freesia you colored on the flowers made a huge difference! I think I'm going to like the new Peaceful Pine and, of course, the Hydrangea Hue (when it's back in stock). Thanks for sharing! I sent your info on the "Great Awakening" to my friend in Lititz. Thanks for sharing!
I had that perfume too! Lilies of the Valley are my fave and I carried them when I got married…..in August….and my mom was mad because we had to pay for them to come from Holland…..we had a yard full of them in May! Lol
I am a Lilies of the Valley fan as well. My husband and I were married on May 28th (will be 43 years this year). I had Lilies of the Valley in my bridal bouquet. The florist had to go out and pick them the morning of our wedding. My bouquet smelled heavenly! I also had English ivy in the bouquet. Oh, such wonderful memories!
These are both very pretty - love the soft colouring. Thanks for sharing with us at TSOT :)
So pretty. Love how you added color to the bell-shaped flowers and the beautiful combination of the two colours you used. Thanks for joining us at Try A Sketch On Tuesday.

Both cards are beautiful, LeAnne! I love Lily of the Valley to and had it at our first house that we lived in for four years. I've never had it at my second house and we've been here 31 years. That is one set I'll be buying as well! Thanks for sharing with us at Try a Sketch on Tuesday!
