PP776 Color Challenge from Joanne

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Did you remember to adjust your clocks yesterday?!  "Adjust" being the operative word---it does take some adjustment, doesn't it?  Well, anyway, Joanne is our hostess at the Paper Players this week with a fun color challenge:

Since I am in the midst of making Easter cards, I chose to use pale rainbow shades for my little Easter peeps card:

I cut my Basket Bunch peeps from cardstocks in Bubble Bath, Peach Pie, Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam, Balmy Blue, Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather, then stamped them in Versafine black ink.  They went into an egg diecut with the Excellent Egg dies from some Papertrey Chicken Scratch gingham papers.  I set them in some Granny Apple Green grass and added a Fresh Freesia bow:

The sentiment is from CTMH's Easter Animals set.  I mounted the egg on a Basic White panel that was embossed with the Basket Weave embossing folder, then added some sequins before I put it all on a Fresh Freesia card.  Here's the inside (that Fresh Freesia is a challenge to photograph!):

I just love this little lineup, although in real life, I really don't care for much of anything that's made from marshmallow!  I do have ONE roasted marshmallow a year over our Harvest party campfire, LOL!  How about you?  Are you a peeps fan?  Did you know that peeps are made right here in PA, and there is actually a peeps store in National Harbor, MD?! The Bethlehem, PA factory makes 5.5 million peeps A DAY! Yowza!

Well, whether you like peeps or not, we'd love to see your rainbow-hued creations! You don't have to use a rainbow, just some rainbowcolors!  Check out what the DT has created at the Paper Players blog, then come play along!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

to eat? Peeps are not my cup of tea either - but I have a niece who found that they toast up just great over a campfire!
Your darling rainbow lineup is adorable, LeAnne! If only one could color eggs in gingham patterns!

This card is so cute, LeAnne and what a lovely card to welcome in the time change! As of right now (10am) it is still cloudy but I am hoping for some sunshine as we go thru the day! It is warm which I am loving! Anyways, your card is delightful and I am loving all those sweet colored peeps! No, I am not a fan of the Peeps but Shawn is. I'd prefer a toasted marshmallow over the Peeps anyday! TFS and I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! :)

I love the looks of Peeps, but I am not a fan of eating them. I have seen some very cute stuffed ones though. LOL! The gingham checked egg is just perfect for all the little Peeps to shine! The embossed background sure looks like a basket. The grass peeking out adds the perfect finished touch along with that little bow. Have a lovely week, My Friend!

Your cardstock Peeps lineup is adorable, LeAnne! I love the pastel rainbow you chose, and that basket weave background is just chef's kiss. As for me, I can't remember the last time I ate any Peeps, but I do like marshmallows--I have my mom's recipe for Mississippi Mud which is brownies covered with marshmallow fluff and topped with chocolate ganache. Yum!

What an adorable line-up of rainbow peeps, LeAnne! They look so cute peeping up out of the gingham egg. The basketweave embossing adds such wonderful texture. I LOVE the sentiment. The entire card is as sweet as a peep. Have a wonderful week!

I always loved roasted marshmallows but haven't had one for years. I like to look at the peeps more than eating them, and these are a joy to look at all nestled in the grass filled Easter Basket! Adorable!

How cute is that rainbow of bunnies! Almost as cute as a pink plaid egg. :-) What a super Easter card, LeAnne.
