Hi, stamping friends! I am the hostess at the Paper Players this week, and it's color challenge week:
I know most of us are thinking fall hues but I wanted to challenge you to use a more spring-like palette! I needed a thank you card for my SIL since she took care of my flowers while we were on vacation, so what better stamp to use than Layers of Beauty?! Here we go:
I stamped my florals in Soft Sea Foam, then stenciled in Lemon Lolly, Soft Sea Foam and Lost Lagoon on the petals and leaves. I found a piece of Lost Lagoon bokeh print from some Christmas DSP we had a few years back and mounted it behind a Penny Black double scalloped fram. The floral diecut extended beyond the edge of the card, so I just trimmed them off.
A sentiment from Everyday Greetings was heat-embossed in white on a banner of Soft Sea Foam, distressed a wee bit, and then I added a little Lemon Lolly baker's twine behind it as well as a couple of pearls:
Edited to add: I am also going to enter this over at the Flower Challenge, where their sketch this week is very similar to mine:
I hope you'll play along with our colors this week, too! The design team came up with some very interesting designs as well! Be sure to check them out over at the Paper Players blog! Can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Absolutely gorgeous, LeAnne! I don't know how I would have used those colors but you created a work of art! Love the colors and the framed edging! Well done! TFS and have a wonderful day! :)
Loving your pretty yellow roses and all of the wonderful layers!
Thanks for a lovely collection of colors, LeAnne! Your floral card is gorgeous and a fabulous way to use these soft shades.
I loved how you used the Layer of Beauty. I don't have that set, unfortunately. I have the Penny Black double scallop die in my cart at SBC...it's been in the cart for a while. Thanks for sharing! Have a great week!
Beautiful, LeAnne! I love the placement of the flowers in the corner of the card. The double frame is perfect for showing off the Lost Lagoon bokeh paper. Your card really showcases the challenge colors beautifully. Have a wonderful week!
A beautiful thank you card LeAnne. Great color choices also. Love the double scallop frame to show of the pretty blooms on.
LeAnne, this is gorgeous! I know your SIL will love this pretty card. The white frames are just amazing and those yellow blooms made me smile! Your colors were a gorgeous choice this week! Have a wonderful week, My Friend!
What a lovely card, LeAnne! I don't think I've seen this frame before, but it sure is cute.
Such a pretty card. Love the layers and they colors are so peaceful.
Oh, so beautiful, and such a lovely, soft color combo. Love the frame, the flowers, even the yellow string is special!
Ooh, I love yellow roses and these are so pretty, LeAnne! I love how you've placed the frame in the background!
Great colour palette this week LeAnne and I will never tire of this stamp set - those roses are just beautiful each and every time. Love the way you used them for a corner detail with the DSP featured inside the frame. Beautiful!
Thank you for a pretty color combo this week LeAnne, and I love how you used them to create yellow roses! We have a fabulous yellow rose bush in our front yard and it always produces an abundance of blooms. The double frame and the bokeh background are wonderful too. Oh, and thank you for joining in over at The Flower Challenge too!
LeAnne, I love how you used your colors. That soft center, those gorgeous big yellow roses, and the soft scallops produce a beautiful, feminine card. I love the white embossing on that soft seafoam tag and how you used the yellow twine to tie into the roses. Gorgeous

Layers of Beauty was the perfect choice! Love how you've floated the flowers over the scallops to reveal to pool of Lost Lagoon in the centre. The yellow twine is just right too.
Oh what a lovely arrangement in the corner. Great use of colors and I love the doubled up scallops that frame everything. Thanks for playing with the skech over at The Flower Challenge!
