Happy Tuesday, all! My niece recently surprised everyone and got married! They'd been engaged for a long time and just decided to get married without any big fuss! (Smart couple!) Naturally, I had to make them a congratulations card, and the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch was perfect for what I had in mind. Here's the sketch:
I haven't done a shabby-chic card for a long time and I really wanted to use some of the pretty vintage papers I had in my stash. I pulled out a retired SU stamp set called Nature's Prints and went to work:
My card base is Basic Beige, with Very Vanilla accents, and the papers are from PhotoPlay and Kaiser Craft. (I admit, these are hard colors to photograph!) I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts on the scripty piece, then added a sprig from the Nature's Prints, stamped in Basic Beige, as well as some seam binding that I dyed with BB ink, crumpled up and heat set in my microwave!
A sentiment from the same SU set was stamped on the inside, and I also overstamped the same sprig on top of the sentiment, using Versmark ink:
And here's a photo of the couple---they look like they could be fashion models, don't they? We wish them lots of blessings!
Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Gorgeous couple and card!! I love when you make shabby-chic cards!!
A beautiful card for a beautiful couple. I love the way they are dressed! They remind me of couples from the 1920s. They definitely could be models!
