RRCB257 Shaky Snowman

Happy Wednesday, peeps! I had a thoroughly enjoyable time yesterday making a fun shaker card for the Retro Rubber challenge, which is a tic-tac-toe! I chose the diagonal of sequins, shaker and diecut:

I pulled out a set from the 2022 mini called Snowman Magic, along with the matching Snowman dies and here's what I came up with:

My background is some retired specialty DSP called Let It Snow....I've been hoarding all that I have, but I thought this pattern would make a great background for my little snowman and his red hat!  I stamped and diecut him and his bunny pal (his little redbird friend too) and then used the new two-toned Pool Party cardstock to diecut some trees.  I cut a frame from Real Red cardstock and added a bunch of sequins from my stash.  I stamped a Scrapbook.com sentiment on it before I sealed everything up:

A simple sentiment from Hope & Peace went on the inside:

This was probably the best sequin/shaker card I ever made---usually my sequins stick to the foam pieces but everything went smoothly this time! Yay!

A few pictures from Father's Day:

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

This is so fun, LeAnne! I love shaker cards but rarely ever make them. I love the paper you used on this as I only have little scraps left! The Snowman Magic set was the perfect one to use on this....it's loaded with cute images, dies & sayings! Great pictures of the kids on Father's Day! Miss Cassidy is getting so grown up! Slow down the clock, please!

This is such a darling way to use that treasured paper, LeAnne! In my favorite Christmas colors, too! Congratulations on everything going smoothly with that shaker - it seldom happens here!

Well yay for you on this sweet shaker card! I've about given up on them because it seems as if I ALWSYS make some kind of critical mistake...and then theres the sequins sticking to the foam! But you inspire me and I may try again!!

I LOVE the pictures of Dana, Wayne & Cassidy! They're such an amazing family!
I also love your cute shaker card! I love shaker cards & make them a lot. To keep the shaker bits from sticking to the foam, I use a little baby powder applied to the edges of the foam with a tiny paint brush. It takes the sticky off the edges of the foam before I insert the shakers. Just a little bit of powder works great! Huggs from Florida!

Just brilliant, LeAnne! I love a good shaker, and this is a great one - I hoard this DSP, too, and it looks PERFECT here! I feel a CASE coming on, lol. Thanks so much for playing at Retro Rubber!
