Happy Sunday, peeps! I haven't posted for a week! Gee whizzies! I had a very busy few days, but I also came down with a nasty cold, and John's been sick for several weeks, so I was just taking it easy! I was itching to get back into my craft room however, so I snuck in yesterday afternoon to make a thank you card for a friend! I used the sketch from As You See It:
The front of the card is also embossed with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder! This will go out in the mail tomorrow!
While I was "resting" I decorated a wooden box that John made me after last Christmas; it is actually four pieces of wood that velcro together and they go around the bottom of our Christmas tree to look like a crate. Dana had one for her tree and when I looked at them online, I thought they were a little pricey, so John stepped up to the plate and went to work! He painted it white and I stenciled a design on it. It turned out pretty well:
Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Sweet card, LeAnne. You and John did a great job on the crate. Your tree is beautiful. Sorry you've both been sick and pray you'll be totally well for Christmas.
An adorable thank you card, LeAnne! I love your little Bambi-like deer and feathered friends!
What a great idea for disguising the tree stand! Way to go, John and the finishing is fantastic, LeAnne!
I spy with my little eye something gold with a tail!

I love it when you cut images out of decorative paper and always forget to use paper that way! This makes a darling thank you in the Winter season! Love your Christmas tree and the box surrounding the stand. I have some of those glass birds on my tree too. I bought them in 1970 and I think the price on the box is fifty cents and I bought them the day after Christmas at half price when shopping with my Dad. Thanks for letting me share that memory, my friend.
Darling tree box and your card. What a beautiful tree. Lucky you.
Your card is very cute with that sweet little deer as the star of the show! Great job to both you and John on the clever box for your tree! Hope you're both feeling better soon.
Sweet card and I love the tree box!
