Happy Tuesday, everyone! It's time for another Retro Rubber Challenge and this is a sweet one...May flowers!

Oh my, so many sets from which to choose! In the end, I opted for a retired SU set called Nature Walk from 2009! I stamped it in Stazon Black ink on watercolor paper and used ink and an aquapainter to color it in:
Here's a closer view:
I am still getting the hang of doing the background...coloring the images in is a piece of cake, but making that "dreamy" background takes a bit of practice! I added a little banner and sentiment, and it's hard to see, but there is a piece of Powder Pink ribbon behind the sentiment, as well as a glimmer dot on top:
I love that pretty pink paper on the background...it's from PhotoPlay's French Flea Market!
I hope you'll play along with us this week...I know there are lots of flower-lovers out there! Pull out your older stamps (at least a year old) and give them some love, then share it with us at the RRCB blog! Can't wait to see what you create!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

A dreamy card. A very pretty image and I love the background. The pink DP really sets off the image so well.
and it's even more beautiful in person! What a nice surprise...thank you! That background paper is gorgeous and you would never know that dreamy watercoloring was difficult. You can tell Cassidy loves her parents :-)
It looks like you've got the hang of the background as well as the details, LeAnne! This is so feminine and pretty with that sweet background paper! A perfect match!
Very pretty. Love the paper and I love how you colored the flower and the background around the flower.
Have a great week.
So soft and pretty! Love the watercolored image, it looks great. A very lovely French country look!
This is feminine and perfectly lovely LeAnne!
This is so elegant and very lovely! You have me scrambling to see if I have anything that resembles that image! Detailed perfectly! I love it!!
Oh LeAnne, this card is dreamy and beautiful, the background paper has the look of the most beautiful and delicate lace, a perfect frame for this sweet and dainty flower.
Love it!!!
Hugs.
A masterpiece of subtlety and restraint! The watercolouring is lovely and I agree that the hard bit is to get the background right, strange as that seems. The soft ribbon and little enamel dot on the sentiment are great additions.
LeAnn, I love your card, the soft watercolouring is perfect and elegant and the busy background paper helps it really pop. Claire x
